[KERNEL] Kernel (deprimed_test) - Break It If You Can

I'm working on the wifi issue on deprimed and have made a discovery about flash'able zips and MAJOR issues with various versions of the edify update-binary that reads the updater-script (big problem for everyone in the whole android community). I have been talking with raidzero about it and think I will just do my work....I have my hands too deep in the bucket.

Just a thought... You may want to get in contact with CVPCS about incorporating some of the things you've been working on with de-primed for CM7. He tweeted earlier that he was looking into fixing up the stock kernel. Might be nice to incorporate some of your work into that.

I thought I was losing my mind. I'm glad its not just me. I wasn't able to boot any kernel after flashing #3. I had to do a complete wipe to get my phone back up. Now to start from scratch. Still excited for the new kernel...

Wipe boot in recovery and flash reprimed please if you can't boot deprimed, you could also try wiping boot and flashing deprimed again...or changing recoveries and flashing deprimed.

I know there are CWR users that have had issues in the past, the post above is why...something has to be done about the update-binary issue.

The issue broke my installation of RZRecovery, I repaired RZRecovery by flashing the 2.0.1 RZRecovery zip with RZRecovery (I hope that makes sense).

Stuck on M after flashing deprimed 3 over a fresh winner00 build 6. Wiped boot, reflashed deprimed 3, still stuck on M. This was flashing in CWR. Going to reflash deprimed test 2 now.

EDIT: No dice. Once again, no kernel would boot after the initial flash of test 3. Had to restore my backup.

In your opinion, is RZRecovery more robust than CWR for this reason? My intial flash of deprimed test 3 took place in RZRecovery, which left my phone borked. I was grateful for having charging available in RZRecovery, though.

Interesting, I don't understand as the kernel is good, the update-binary is good, and the edify updater-script is also good...let me download and try the kernel again.

I will stick with 2 until we know if the boot issues will be fixed.
