[KERNEL] Kernel (deprimed_test) - Break It If You Can

On RC4 with Deprime 33, should compcache be working? If so, what might the "compcache stats" look like?

Sent from my Droid using DroidForums

If your using setcpu look at the info and find the swap, its about midway down, if its not zero its working

I decided to give this a try today, I was using Chevy's 1.0lv kernel before. I have one question, I installed the deprimed kernel and the deprimed milestone overclock, then I ran the overclock script. Now do I need to adjust MO also or am I already running at 900mhz now?

You don't need the milestone overclock app. If you installed it and ran primed at a command prompt, you have have 900Mhz as your top speed. Check the script info in the 2nd post of the thread.

After awhile my automatic back light stops working. The sensor stops detecting how much light there actually is. I was wondering if this was a rom issue or kernel issue. In one if the previous change logs prime mentioned something about tweaking the lcd and I'm wondering if that was the issue. Anyone else experience this? I'm on rc4 with the latest deprimed kernel.

Btw a reboot fixes this.

i had a problem with the auto back light over the weekend Someone else reported an issue too in Winners thread. Edit - running Winner 32-2 and deprimed latest #33

I found an app that lets you know what the CPU is doing. It is called CPU SPY and it is in the market. It will display the percent at each slot and the percent of time the phone is in DEEP SLEEP. SetCPU does not have the deep sleep provision and only displays the time in each slot not overall percentage. It is a free app if you are interested.

If you switched to CPU Tuner you lost the ability to know anything about slot usage -

Edit - CPU Tuner does have slot usage under statistics.

I've been using Advanced Hackers System Tool for watching the percentage in each slot as well. I don't see it in the market but it can be found here - Android hacker’s system tool v3.3.12 | MyDroid Free Software For Android OS

Anyone know if this will work with CM7?

Swap Enable/Disable - CyanogenMod Forum

It would be nice to just have swap work automagically without needing Swapper2 as it just doesn't seem to be working for me. :\

Also, any ideas whether this will have an effect on Link2SD (good, bad or ugly)? My *guess* is no, it wouldn't, but I don't know enough to be sure.

CPUtuner does give you a "time in state" for each slot, its located under statistics

Just installed deprimed, not really sure if I'm OC'ed or not. I'm in a signal blackout area right now so I can't reinstall setcpu to tell.
