Kernels, Get Your Kernels, RED HOT Kernels! - Sapphire - 0.7.0

So I finally figured out my market issues...

now I'm trying to use apps2sd but the button is greyed out? :( I go into settings, applications, all, click on one and it won't let me click the "move to SD card" button.

Only some apps support Apps2SD - depends on the app. It DOES work in Sapphire, though, as long as the app supports it. I've moved SetCPU and a live wallpaper to the SD card just to see that it works.

In other news, I'm stunned: Sapphire 0.7.0 + 1100 LV Kernel + Smoked glass == quadrant score of 1458?! Usually I get in the high 1300's but several times now I've gotten above 1450 without doing anything like killing all apps.

I'm impressed. And quite happy. :D

I used the terminal cmd to force installs to sd card but titanium will also move these apps to sd if needed.

I think I'm the reason I started having problems with my widgets, lol. I just happened to think, the initial kernel with 0.7.0 was running warm so I flashed Chevys. Then the day the new P3 kernels were available, I had flashed a theme that wasn't made for Sapphire, but then reloaded 0.7.0 and then used the Redline Theme and installed the new kernel from P3 but I never wiped. So I'm guessing I have some little gremlins in there that need to come out.

I'm gonna do a complete wipe and reinstall, but I was kinda hoping MMobley would finish porting his Extreme Orange theme over first. I'll wait another day or two, but I believe I'm the culprit of my problems.. (Hawk fesses up :icon_evil:)

Can't wait to see Tanks, Kovs and MMobleys finished themes. BTW, this new P3 is running good. My phone didn't like the LV over 1GHz so I installed the 1.2GHz SV but have it tuned down to 850MHz. It's been running really well... The battery life has been really good, which I didn't expect.

Only 2 of my like, 50 apps let me move to SD. When I was on BB I moved pretty much everything that's not a widget. There's no reason why none of my other apps will let me do it here.

I cannot believe how many times this has been answered in this thread already.

Sapphire's Apps2SD is built straight off the Google Source Code which means that the APPLICATION has to support running off of the SD card. This is done to ensure that the application will indeed function correctly running from SD card. This function needs to be built into the applications by the author.

Well first off yes there is a reason you can't move all your app's and that has already been explained, the app dev has to update there app's to support it in froyo, and since froyo has not been offically released yet it may be awhile. Now then BB more than likely used the termnial command to move to SD, which I tryed on the first leak and had issues, so if you must have that ability you could try using the command on sapphire, but if you have issue's don't blame the rom or go back to BB.

Edit: srry wingdo your post wasn't there when I first replied lol

trebb, can I ask a dumb question: with only 50 apps, do you really need to have them on the sdcard? How much space in /data do you have left? I have probably between 40-50 apps and have well over 100 MB free in /data.

Obviously, your phone = do whatever the hell you please, just wondering what the rationale is.
