You're so right Tis! Perspective is everything We're doing our Thanksgiving feast today so our whole family could be here... Turning on the oven now to preheat! Turkey ready@ 2 PM. Then in goes the ham to warm up! Last time I forgot to put the ham in and we had to microwave piece by piece!

Good grief. It's not even noon here and it feels like it's 3:00 or something. And I've only been up since 9. Working on some laundry, got a couple coat of spray color on one of the chairs I'm refinishing...and I'm not even done...

Happy Sunday y'all.

Indeed. Fortunately I got my weekly grocery run done yesterday while my girlfriend was getting her hair done. Otherwise I would've been up earlier today and probably napping on the couch by now. LOL.

Just hung the parts of chair number 2 out for their color coating. The bad part with the paint that I got is that it takes between 5-9 hours to be dry enough for handling, depending on the temperature. Since I'm doing this outside and it's only 50 right now, I'm sure that time is going to be on the upper end. I don't know if I'm gonna get the last chair sprayed today...or if I do, it probably won't be before dark.

Take a picture of the chairs when they're done... You've been a busy boy today[emoji56]

Woo hoo![emoji16][emoji56]you and IIGood both have gotten a lot of work done today! Ftw and I'll split the win with both of you... Only 1 hour to pulling the turkey out... Oldest grandson woke up with a cough so he and his Mom are going to have their feast at home so as not to get the youngest one sick so young... Once they go to day care they're sick from October to March unfortunately[emoji53] I'd take care of them here so they don't need day care, but their parents say daycare is better socially than Nani-care[emoji19]none of them went to day care(my 3 children) and they're more sociable than most. I guess they don't want to save$1000/month each rather than spending on daycare.. That's$4000/ month for the 4 kids plus an extra$500 for an infant

Will do; I've also been chronicling the progress of the project in a Google Photos album:

Wooden Chair refinish

I never did get a picture of the chairs before I started stripping the paint; they were completely orange. My girlfriend found them at a second-hand shop we went to and got all three of them for $25. She thought they'd be good for us to have at my place when we have larger gatherings since seating is fairly limited here. I'm trying to have them put back together by the end of the week for a party we're having on the 10th.

Her mom is going to make some seat cushions for them...the pattern has been chosen and it's the same as some throw pillows she made for me previously.

I've picked up all new hardware for them...but I might make another run out to pick up some new bolts which attach the seat to the back railing/legs. They're square heads now; I think I might go with the standard hex head.

Easier to tighten with hex heads..I used to have wooden kitchen chairs and was tightening all the time when my kids were small and squirming and kicking every meal time( lol) looks like y'all have a very talented family for fixing and making stuff.. The old things have much more character than the new crap that's out now!

No doubt; I can pop a socket on there and zip it back in right quick. And yes, the older stuff does seem nicer than what is bought at many places nowadays. My girlfriend likes to watch that "Flea Market Flip" to see how stuff can be repurposed.

I've just finished spraying the second chair and I don't think there's gonna be enough time today to get to #3. At least certainly not before nightfall (darn this short daylight). I think I'll take the opportunity now to run up to the hardware store and get those bolts.

Hope the dinner goes well for you! :)
