LauncherPro Beta (SUPER FAST & SMOOTH Launcher!)

It is not your widgets that are causing ththe lag, it is the memory management of lp. This is the reason I switched from lp to adw. With adw I have never experienced the lag when switching to home, it only happened with lp and helix. Adw never does that.

i still had the lag on adw. i agree, it's a memory management issue, buti don't think it's the way LP handles memory, it's just the way android handles memory.

Hidden icon labels took this one over the top. Thank you for a great app.

OK... so now I have to download BetterCut in order to differentiate between Folders.
Edit: Oh, wait... No I don't... just checked and it keeps the lables on Folders... Even when I think I have a complaint, I don't!

Seriously, the developer for this launcher is top-notch. The ability to hide the notification bar = awesome.

One question. Is there any way to have the Notification Bar re-appear when you have a notification, like an email or text? I use my phone a lot as my desk clock at work, so its on for most of the day (but in the dock) so it would be helpful to have this as well.

Other than that, absolutely perfect. Well done, sir... very well done.

I wish that I could keep it so that if I were like 3 home screens over, I can still hit the home button and go back to the main one.

Ugh.

I have noticed a small problem with hiding the notification bar. I use Handcent for my SMS and when I try to use the Quick Reply box, it doesn't shift up to allow for the keyboard when the notification bar is hidden. When I disabled the feature, it worked fine again.

It's a small thing, but slightly annoying.

Actually its with all the home apps that have the DISABLE NOTIFICATIONS.
HOME ++
ZEAM
ADW
and now LP.
Its a small thing but i would like it to work too.

Just downloaded this, I know kinda late. Just wondering because when I try to delete widgets/shortcuts and hold them down a lot of times it doesnt actually take. Instead it shows me the three home screens and I have to do it another 4-10 times before it actually takes. Am I doing something wrong?

At this point, now that the phone is so snappy and I am able to customize it as much as I can with LP in regards to setting up static icons, hiding the notification bar, hiding the icon labels, etc, that I'm not sure I'm even in the mindset to possibly root in the future. The only things I would want to use root for is overclocking and tethering, but supposedly, Froyo will take care of both, so yeah...

Best launcher application out there right now, and its not really even that close. Especially for non-rooted Droids.
