LauncherPro Beta (SUPER FAST & SMOOTH Launcher!)

oh man I just got this and im quite amazed at how quick things are, it helps I just OC'd too but even zeam..which ive been using forever, doesn't go this quick. Think it's here to stay, I just hope they don't charge for it.

My only complaints are miniscule. App drawer doesn't slide out like I like doing, doesn't seem I can change that. And when setting a shortcut from the drawer to the desktop it double vibrates

I've noticed an issue that's not isolated to LP, but was still wondering if others have seen this. When I add a shortcut, be it to a home screen or one of the quick launch buttons, I'll long press then choose shortcut -> application (or just application if it's one of the quick launch buttons). After that it can take up to 10 seconds or more before I get the list of apps. This doesn't happen to me with the stock home.

Same thing happened to me with Helix 2 and Tag Home, so it's not just happening with LP. Has anyone else seen this? Just want to know if it's a problem with my phone or if it's a more widespread problem with others.

I don't have LP or launcher as default (they both come up to choose when I press the home key.

My question is this, I have pressed a button when handling the phone and I get all my screens showing as thumbnails. Just what am I pressing? I can't duplicate it and it has happened 3 or 4 times since I installed LP over the weekend.
Read through about 20 pages of this thread and never saw anything about the thumbnails.
Also, I was going to check and LauncherPro and it doesn't open.

When using Launcher Pro (this will not happen with stock launcher), you are pressing the home button at the bottom of the phone. This brings up small preview cards of all your homescreens.

As well as pinching (like how you pinch and zoom, but move your fingers toward each other) anywhere on the home screens. Also if you want to change preferences you can make it so the home button takes to to the default home screen instead of thumbnails. But thumbnails will come up when you hit the home button still but only if you are already on the default screen.

Im having alot of FCing on Pandora and Slacker using Launcherpro. Is anyone else?

Slacker was crashing on me a lot yesterday by it seems to be fine today, Idk what changed it. There was an update to LP in the last few days in case you didn't know.

Try it now, just updated again today, some nice changes

Just hot on the heels of v0.4.1, here comes a new release! It brings bug fixes and some cool new features

Here’s what’s new:

  • Fixed problem in Android 2.2 where the “Restart LauncherPro” option wouldn’t restart the app.
  • Fixed missing status bar when set to hide notification bar and Notifications was opened from menu.
  • Fixed wallpaper shifting down a few pixels when unlocking the screen.
  • When set to hide notification bar, the status bar will be shown when you press the menu button on your phone. This lets you see what kind of notifications you have, wifi status, etc.
  • New “Advanced settings” screen within the preferences. This will include some settings for those of you who like to tweak.
  • New: Option to choose the number of icons per row in both portrait and landscape mode. The options are 4 and 5 for portrait mode, and from 4 to 8 in landscape mode. (Advanced settings)
  • New: Option to have a 4×5 grid on homescreens instead of the default 4×4. Please note this is experimental. It only works with widescreen devices and in portrait mode. In any other scenario you’ll probably end up with icons and widgets overlaying each other. (Advanced settings)
  • New: Now you can choose a background for the shortcut dock. For now there are three options; No background, Glass shelf, and Froyo-style. More backgrounds coming in future releases. That’s it for now, hope you like the new features
