Leaked FRG22 Update Available for Rooted Droid 1

FRG22 Issues Thread

Just thought we should have one here with the new leak.

This is ONLY for reporting issues, not how to install, or issues installing.

So far, it appears that voice search FC's on any access.

I have a question for everyone. Has anyone else noticed that you can't make your phone go to silent without going into the settings? I can make it go to just vibrate, but never silent.

When I push the volume button down when at vibrate... it just vibrates more and does nothing.

Anyone else having this issue?

It's not an issue thats 2.2. Get silent toggle widget from the market, does what you want. Actually makes it easier to just touch the widget so toggle between ring, vibrate or silent.

Actually just go into settings, sound, check vibrate, change the selection to "Only when not in Silent mode" Then you can put it on silent.

That seems to get rid of vibrate on the volume rocker. Is there a way I can go from lowest sound level->vibrate->silent with the rocker?

A few questions:
1) Has anybody successfully overclocked this build yet? If so, what kernel(s) seem to work?
2) Has the streaming audio sound been fixed?

I am the one who gets these files and releases them to P3Droid.

We take care wherever necessary to protect the original sources at Motorola.

Most people have no idea at all how these things come about and it's probably best that way, despite the disturbing lack of appreciation that results from that obscurity.

Have fun with the files...

CZ, what you provide to this community is awesome and greatly appreciated... but how can we not be extremely curious when, the same day as the "final" froyo release is out, another leak is released? It would be nice to know at least a little bit as to why that's the case, even if it's an extremely ambiguous answer! :)

Truthfully, it was an attempt to keep us rooted users one step ahead. Non root received FRG01B - which we already had - and rooted users get FRG22.

It is also intended for the themers and developers to have the newest to work with and to build off of, to help the community grow.

That is the ultimate goal.

Indeed! Thanks again, to you and CZ.

You should be able to run the same OC kernal you may have had prior.

I reloaded my P3 kernal and it runs great.

Havent checked audio yet.

Thanks for replying! Downloading metiCkMod's Blackbar ROM now. Can't wait to see how this runs!

Well, how about the alarm clock. I now have two "clocks" in my app tray. One is a 2.1 and one is a 2.2. The 2.2 has a bunch of percent signs instead of the date and the 2.1 still looks good.

Problem, when the alarm goes off the only thing that will turn it off is turning off the phone.

Anyone else?

Had you installed another alarm clock at some point? I only have one clock app.

Also, of note, if you have apps on SD, you may end up with duplicate app drawer entries, I moved to phone and back, issue solved. (Although there may have been a better way of doing that, someone else might chime in an opinion there)

I have no problem with the Google Search widget using voice search.
I do have a problem with the video camera lagging(?).
I recorded a video of me walking around in my apt and it's jumpy.
I recorded one with FRG01B before and it worked fine.
It might be the kernel since I'm using a new one from P3.
I had an old one without CPU temps working when I recorded the 1st video with FRG01B.

Well I know people didn't want to hear it...but apparenlty VZW and MOTO actually had a good reason to not go with this build. The voice search and search widget don't work in FRG22, probably any easy fix but the point won't hit home to the community the way it should. Its funny how people think that logical dissent is being ingrateful, and how others quickly jump in with some name calling instead of listening to the issue being brought forth.

CK, great job on the moderating (no sarcasm or disrespect), you always seem to be a singular voice of reason in the sea of massive e-peens (myself included in that group at times). So before I go crawl into my hole I will make a small apology. I do come off rough around the edges, and should usually read my post before clicking the submit button. And I'm sorry if I came off a little ass-hattish when I could have been more tactful with my remarks. I do appreciate the leaks, and they are valuble to the devs out there. My ONLY intention initially was to warn the community that this build would have some inherent bug or flaw...or the Big Red and Moto would have released it instead.

I've had that video issue since day 1 with my Droid. It's inconsistent, so, as you said, it could be a kernel thing, or it could be a rom thing - I haven't tested enough to see.

Actually now that I think about it I had the kernel that came with the FRG01B leak.( New Leak: How about the Most Recent Froyo build for the Droid - FRG01B )
Later I'll reapply this update and see if that works.

I was just going to ask about installing Kernels. I guess every time we load a new update if we want the same kernel that we had before we have to reinstall it.
