letting people use youe phone... where do you stand?

Depends on who asks. Girlfriend, family, friends... sure. (Hey, if my friend will let me handle is M1 Garand, then I can let him use my phone)

Strangers... no, unless they are in obvious trouble, than I will make the call for them.

Co-workers? I don't have any, so I can't answer that :)

Most of my friends I would let borrow my phone for a quick call, or if they just want to check the Droid out but I'll be keeping a close eye on it. There are only two friends I wouldn't let touch my Droid, one has accidentally dropped my iPod touch which cracked the screen in the past and the other is just kind of dumb/clumsy.

If a family member asked I wouldn't hesitate to let them use it. I know that if they broke it they would at least be willing to replace it or pay the deductible on my insurance for it.

I've never had anyone ask to use my Droid, but I suppose I would handle the question in these manners:

:) Family member asks = no problem, please use my phone;
:) Very close friend asks = no problem, please use my phone;
:icon_eek: A friend (not very close) asks = Hmmmm... it depends on who it is;
:) Coworker asks = no problem, please use my phone;
:mad: A stranger who simply needs a phone in a non-emergency situation asks = No way, sorry Charlie.
:) A stranger in obvious trouble who needs to dial 911 ask = no problem, please use my phone.

this. even though i'm the only one who uses my phone. my girlfriend whom i live with has her own..so she really doesn't need mine. the only time she uses it is when she can't find hers and just wants to call it to find it...usually in the couch. lol

this guy i just met at my new job let me take his droid 1 home for two days because he wanted me to root it and configure some stuff on it for him. but roles reversed i wouldnt let anyone take my droid for any reason, and even if someone were to take it, they would have a pretty hard time using it because my phone gets very temperamental if used incorrectly.

The only people I have let touch my phone are my mom (who couldn't figure out how to use it so I had to make the call for her anyway, lol), my boyfriend who has his own phone, but only uses mine for games. He knows if anything happens to my Droid, the PS3 gets it! And my best friend who has an iphone that he loves as much as I love my Droid. Anybody else I don't let touch it. A coworker of mine asked once to call & get a ride home, and I was like "sorry, you're sweating & your fingernails are too long. Nope." And they have given me grief over that ever since...(I'm the phone nazi now.) But oh well. Not only are these type of phones expensive & people that don't have a cell don't seem to understand that, but they also treat them as their own personal line to get call backs on, or try to ask you if they can see it for a sec to google something random & don't wanna give it back to you. I've seen it happen a lot with my friend's iphone..so I'm not letting people even get started with it on mine. I like to take care of the stuff I pay for! Lol

I let friends play games like angry birds or hyper jump for a little other than that, that's all about what I let people do. When I first got my d1 back in december I let friends play around with it to see what it was like and most ended up getting one. Anymore I don't really let anyone be on my phone because I always have texts coming in.

Who cares... Its just a phone, and if someone calls back later from an unknown #... Then don't answer.
