LGB v0.9

It would be SOOOOO Nice to have a direct link to download this thing and place it on the phone.

Maybe create a unique link or something to keep to us Donating users.

Waiting for it this way BLOWS, and It's only a matter of time before people start lowering the rating because of this.

Just wasted 3 hours training to download over WiFi. Got to 82% and timed out. I'd expect a quicker solution considering we paid for the app. ( Or at least a notice from the admins)

I have the d2 file. I was lucky and got it right at the release. I feel bad that people are having issues. People shouldn't have to be sharing links and files.

The change log mentioned that the superuser app was updated. My market is still showing an update available and it is still unsuccessful. Voice search also won't update.

Anyone else notice this, or have a fix?

That's because Liberty ROMs have Market updateable programs in /system/app instead of the /data/app folder. The /system/app folder is read only so programs cannot install to that folder. The fix is to either get ROM designer to put Market programs into the /data/app folder so they can be updated or use Root Explorer to move the app yourself to /data/app and change the properties. It's a little bit of a pain, especially when you have to do this after every ROM update. There's lots of help in the forums that explain how to do this.

Yeah after my post I starting looking through the system folders and noticed that it was not in the data/app folder. The reason I was asking is because this was never an issue prior to LGB v0.8. Before v0.8 all the apps would update from the market, but I am not entirely sure those (system) apps ever had updates prior to v0.8. Thanks for the quick answer.

I strongly recommend against pissing off the ROM developers by distributing their material without their permission. If they want people to have 0.9, they'll give it out themselves. Otherwise everyone who doesn't have the Donate version of the toolbox can wait. And if they have the Donate version and the link isn't working for them, let them work it out with the developers. You have absolutely no right, and no permission, to distribute their work.

They shouldn't have to be? Right. Those poor people distributing movies and music all over the internet for free shouldn't have to be doing that, either. What a bother it is for them to take someone else's hard work and distribute it all over the internet! Those poor pirates!

AND if you distribute this ROM without permission that's what you are. A pirate.

If the devs want people to have the ROM, they'll fix the issues. You don't just take matters into your own hands and give away something that isn't yours!

I got 2 people to take down links already Kasey and I'm not going to post a link (i was just expressing surprise that people are having issues still) but im not going to get self-rightous either. I dont think there is one person on these forums that hasn't gotten an apk or song or movie from a pirate site. I mean, cmon. I'm not condoning it at all, but really dude.

The Liberty ROM devs work hard, and they provide it to us out of the goodness of their hearts. To spite them by taking it and distributing it as if you own it yourself is a huge slap in the face to them. If I was them, I'd be *PISSED*.

@zZvaNyaZz: On one side, we have a music and movie industry that spends billions suing their customers directly as well as any venue (even a freakin barber shop) playing their content, and at the same time, trying to make content harder and harder to access. On the other side we have these nice folks who pour out hard work and time away from their lives to develop a ROM for us FOR FREE. If you don't see the difference then you're the idiot. OH, oops, I mean "your an idiot." And you need a grammar lesson.

I like the Liberty ROM. And I'd like to see it continue to be developed. And I really appreciate all of the work that goes into it. It's clear to me that the devs are really good people. For those reasons, I'll defend them as I would any other of my friends or family. If that makes me self-righteous, then I'm your poster boy.
