Liberty 2.0 works with v7 romer

Ok I bought the toolbox liberty, and ti backup bootstrap and rom manager. I installed the liberty and the keypad would not light up nor could I get the phone to acquire a signal ( would not come out of airplane mode) if I could get the Romero I would try it one more time on my wife's D2G since I have about $20 into it and had it on my Droid x prior to switching to an iPhone 4

The wife Droid runs like crap all the time because of the Verizon bloat we went on a trip and I had her use her navigation and it kept locking the phone up and I told her when we got home I was going to rom it , which I did and ended up prutting a new sbf file on it because I soft bricked

Sir, did you flash the liberty followed by the Get R Done romer before you started the phone? I think you just flashed the liberty and logged in... which created the issue...

Also it is good that you bought the apps that will help the developers but it was not necessary if you just wanted to try the ROMing....

Ok here is what I think my patchofthepatch prob is, I have the donate version of toolbox, which reinstalls itself along with the liberty file I keep deleting.
I just went into toolbox settings and unchecked the add apps upon restore or something box. Not sure if that choice will take tho after wipe/reinstall....?
Any other ideas before I try again?

But hey, at least removing that file has kept my data running all day without a glitch

That could be an idea my file just over writes the old one it should have the same file name...I may grab the donate ver tonite and check it my self

Did you use the liberty rom and then use GRD rommer for d2g?

You need to use the GRD romer then. D2 roms wont work without it. Its in the subforum linked in my signature.

Responded to your PM a few sec ago also you will be needing the libetry rom along with the romer (to use the liberty on D2G; Libetry is made for D2 and could not be used on D2G due to difference in the two phones. you can get the Romer from here D2G_Romer_v7.zip.

So to install the Liberty 2.0.1 on my D2G what I did was to delete the liberty folder completely (you might not have to do this since you never ran the Liberty, in any case just check that you have any folder named Liberty in the root of your SD Card delete it) then it will not over write the folder and then use the fix that kickasz23 had provided in the forum post #79 (make sure to unzip the folder that he has given and put it in your SD card root ie not inside any folder) then go to bootstrap and format the data and cache (I do it twice both) and install liberty 2.0.1 and then Romer v7. After that let the phone boot normally.... As soon as the phone boots install the liberty toolbox and go into the settings and then liberty settings and uncheck automatic updates (this is important otherwise everything you do will not work) and then you should be fine... Also if you use any theme from libetry toolbox make sure to go check for automatic update check box is unchecked, it got checked by itself when i changed a theme...
Aftyer this you should be running Liberty without any issues...

Epic rom? Haven't heard of that one....

Apex 1.4.1 is out I believe, would be in the Fabulous or Apex subforum. If you use the blurry one then use v1 of the romer. To get lights working pull the keyboardlights.sh file out of the v7 romer and run it on reboot.

This is my first rom on my new d2g.lol what luck. At least ill be extremely familiar with flashing a rom.lol. so these posts are awesome and as soon as I get time I will try to flash it again. Im losing 3g on the reboot also. Works fine til a reboot.

Ok. Downloaded 2.0 link. Gonna backup then wipe then install zip then romer then delete 2.0 link and replace w liberty zip folder. Sound right? Im on rooted stock for the sixth time lol.
