I'm happy that someone is working on this, and it IS nice to have a good start on it. The problems with it so far are that you are "driving blindly" with it. In other words, once the image shows up on your larger screen, you have to GUESS where to touch your Droid X screen to click on the things you see on the big screen. That's one big problem.
Last night I wanted to stream an NFL game (using the NFL mobile app on the X) to the TV, which worked....kind of. The center of the screen (TV) have black bars or boxes in it, which made it less than pleasant to watch. On top of that, the video quality wasn't very good even without the boxes problem. I eventually just unplugged from the TV and watched directly on the phone.
BTW, that NFL mobile app has been less than perfect, too. It doesn't seem to take very long before the audio and video get out of synch....with the video falling behind the audio, so you are hearing what's happened BEFORE you see it.....which kind of defeats the purpose of the video. Hopefully they'll work that out somehow. Also, I noticed that the programming on NFL Mobile does NOT always follow the NFL network. I wanted to watch the Patriots game last night, which WAS on NFL Network (that my cable company dropped), but the game showing on NFL Mobile was a replay of the Giants Ravens game. Oh well.....it's starting to look more and more like if you want to watch out of network NFL games the only way to do it consistently is to get Direct TV with the damn Sunday Ticket for $60 a month. Probably NOT going to happen for me....
