I'm not sure what time it started, or when it ended but I got a Thunderbolt from Amazon for $0.01 at around 9:00am Eastern. The upgrades were $69. Not sure how much the other phones were, and the deal appears to be over now.

very odd. I checked at that time, no such deals were available.

They must have been running it for a limited amount of stock because the phone still shows "In Stock" but the price is back to normal.

Yeah that seems odd that you're the only one that got in on the deal... But what's with the $69 thing? That makes no sense to me, if you have an upgrade it should be $0.01 (or free?) and if you don't it should be full retail price.

Nevertheless I can't stress enough how disappointed I am that I will not be grandfathered into unlimited 4G, do we know where this Amazon Memorial Day Hoax came from?

And to be honest, it doesn't really say the sale itself is on Memorial Day, so there's an off-chance it's tomorrow or something. But the site has a comments section if you wish to flame the person who *made up* the story, whose name is listed at the end of the article just before the comments.

Yeah I was looking forward to this. I went to the Verizon store to "play" and ended up very impressed with the Incredible 2. So impressed in fact that I ordered it from Wirefly.

I'm getting a new device after all! I really wanted the Revo, but I'll tell you what, the Incredible 2 ain't no slouch! It's basically the TB without 4G. I decided since I'm not in a 4G area, and probably won't be for another year or two, to go ahead and pull the trigger. Only thing I'm worried about is not being grandfathered into unlimited data...

I checked every few minutes from 11-12 Pacific,So there is no chance in hell you saw something i didnt..Is there anyway you can provide you email confirmation purchase *screenshot possibly

Yeah, you are exactly right. I just had it in my mind I was going to get a phone. Plus my OG has been on the fritz so I think I'll be happy. It's hard to get anything free, I feared this "rumor" was too good to be true.

Yeah, OG Droid may have an unlocked bootloader, but they definitely weren't built to last. I mean in my opinion this was something Amazon would do, at the time I didn't know it came from some mostly-unknown tech site that really knew nothing.

To be fair, Amazon's Memorial Day sale started like Friday or Saturday and goes through Monday (today) which is basically like $20 or so off select 3G and 4G phones. They aren't gonna put a big "fire sale" in with their Memorial Day specials, so if they will ever have a free Memorial Day thing, it would be tomorrow. And when you think about it, this site probably didn't just make it up... But don't be the least bit surprised if there is never any free sale.
