Many 4G Phones will be FREE on Monday at Amazon

Yeah, OG Droid may have an unlocked bootloader, but they definitely weren't built to last. I mean in my opinion this was something Amazon would do, at the time I didn't know it came from some mostly-unknown tech site that really knew nothing.

To be fair, Amazon's Memorial Day sale started like Friday or Saturday and goes through Monday (today) which is basically like $20 or so off select 3G and 4G phones. They aren't gonna put a big "fire sale" in with their Memorial Day specials, so if they will ever have a free Memorial Day thing, it would be tomorrow. And when you think about it, this site probably didn't just make it up... But don't be the least bit surprised if there is never any free sale.

I'll lose my mind if they do the thing tomorrow :icon_eek: haha

likewise. 10char

I'm not sure what time it started, or when it ended but I got a Thunderbolt from Amazon for $0.01 at around 9:00am Eastern. The upgrades were $69. Not sure how much the other phones were, and the deal appears to be over now.

Stop blowing smoke dude i was on the site all last night so theirs no way you or anyone else got a deal and none of us did. Post a order confirmation picture or something then maybe ill believe you.

Okay guys hear me out, this site that was wrong about the free 4G phones, Amazon Offers Free Phones for Memorial Day - Mobiledia , they were right about the $10 Amazon credit for purchasing the Xperia Play on Verizon, perhaps the $25 credit for buying a WP7 that the site also mentions is tomorrow along with the free 4G goodness? If they're right about one of the three, and they didn't really specify a date, they just said "Memorial Day sale" could be Crazy Tuesday, right? I mean we can at least hope, for the children's sake lol

I Feel like its Christmas...I Stayed up all night waiting for santa and santa never came, all i got was a kick in the balls by Emily Anderson

Screw Emily Anderson and her false information.

Even is this sale does happen Tuesday this Emily Anderson just ruined her credibility because Tuesday has nothing to do with memorial day.

Ill just pay $200 instaed of waiting for a sale thats either not gonna happen or gonna be a while before it does happen. The TB is not getting a official price drop till September or November from Verizon so i doubt $199.99 is gonna change unless theirs a stupid sale.

Do go with the LG

So which one should I go with?

HTC Thunderbolt?
Samsung DROID Charge?
or
LG Revolution?

I have one and not impressed with it at all...

Droid Charge is a beautiful devices with so much to offer plus the battery is acceptable for an LTE phone.

Not interested in any of these phones...will keep my rooted/Gingerbread D1 for now. BTW if anyone has a stock D1 root it and put a custom Gingerbread rom on it (and cpu speed boost). It's like having a new phone.

Umm, no. They must have seen the tweet too, which is their source. If they threw in free 4G phones, either there was a serious mishap, or they have a source for that as well. It's all about sources, not precognitions.

So, when I made the jump to pull my early upgrade and have the price of the Thunderbolt charged to my bill, when I mentioned being grandfathered into the unlimited data plan for two years when verizon goes to tiered data, the rep agreed with me (though we ALL know how uninformed most of them are). So, if worse comes to worst, I'll be fighting big red if they try to remove my unlimited data. The ONLY reason I made the jump and pulled the trigger at the same time instead of waiting for the Droid 3 is because of the grandfathering into unlimited data.

The Amazon freebee was a joke. Is a joke. Sometimes, people just want to believe. I wanted to believe. But then it also stated you needed to have your full new every two upgrade. To me, it's whatever. Would have been nice if it were in fact free, but I'll take my chances and fight them if they try to take away my unlimited data.

This guy's right. We have to accept facts. There is no fire sale today, tomorrow, or anytime soon I'm sure.

I have a friend who has a Thunderbolt, he doesn't care at all about 3G, 4G, unlimited or capped. Perhaps my Droid X with Multimedia Dock will sway him over the bad battery-lifed TB. If you guys have friends, it doesn't hurt to ask, and unless you have an upgrade AND the money, it looks like your only shot.

I'm not "blowing smoke", I was just pointing out that I was able to score a TB for free and that the price for an upgrade was $69.99. I'm also not going to go to the trouble of posting screencaps just to prove it to the internet masses...
