Wow, I was going to order a new family contract (we're coming from AT/T) from Amazon tonight with several of the listed phones - guess we'll wait until Monday! It will save us several hundred $$$. Hopefully there isn't some other catch, like Monday is the day Verizon switches to tiered data plans or something.

I wonder why the Thunderbrick is on sale... :)

Have you owned one? Or are you just going by what you're reading in the Forum?

If you haven't own one then really you shouldn't knock it. I hear from many people that it is a good phone.

However, my wife has been getting emails for early upgrade. I'm wondering if she can swing a Charge out of this deal.

hmmm.....my wife's att contract is over and i've been wanting her to get on my verizon acct. Me thinks she gets the DX and me a TBolt =O,

Last time I tried an early upgrade from a 3rd party source (best buy) they told me that even though vzw showed the discounted prices their computers (best buy's) do not show those who are elligible for early upgrades and wont be able to give the discounted price.

Pushing these phones before the next 4G Flagship device lands in time for the Original Droid early adopters 20 month period?

Does Amazon Wireless have that rule where if you buy a phone from them you can't make changes to your phone/plan for 6 months?

I'm looking around and I can't seem to find that they do.

I don't think so... If they do I never heard about it. Out of curiosity though, what do you need to know for?

Cause I'd like to do this, and I'm not a huge fan of the 6 month thing.

I almost bought a phone from Amazon and wanted to have them switch it from the phonethat was eligible to the phone that was not ( something Verizon does willingly).Amazon said they could not do that so i told them I would have Verizon switch it for me once I received the phone. Amazon told me i had to wait 6 months or i would have to play a penalty. I explained that I could find no where in their terms where it said that. Needless to say, Verizon told me i could always switch phones within my plan and they couldn't understand how Amazon would even know whether i did or not. With more research, I found out that the 3rd party resellers track the esn #'s to determine if the phone switched to different #. I wasnt going to chance it.
