so does amazon program the phone to activate ONLY to the number you used for the upgrade?

so if i call verizon customer service and give them the esn number they can just activate my new phone i got from amazon to another number on my family plan......

From my understanding Verizon notifies amazon (or whoever has the requirement) of the phones status. Amazon keeps track of what number the phone is on and when you activate it vow tells amazon about it.

When I activated my wife's phone, there was a Verizon order # attached to the phone as part of the *228 activation. That was the only unclear part of the process. The Amazon instructions say to do *228 and as part of that Amazon tells you to push 1 if it's for the order # they say, but that does not correspond to anything that Amazon sends. I called and the customer service guy agreed that it was confusing.

As time continues to slowly pass ive made a decision to with the LG Revolution..

Sat here reading all of your post, trying to make a decision and trying not to think about the last LG phone i purchased "LG Dare" but something tells me this is the way to go over the Thunderbolt even if it is a 5MP.Plus the screen looks flawless.Happy Memorial day

Darn, I just bought the thunderbolt from Verizon. I used someone else's upgrade though so it sounds like I wouldn't have gotten in on this deal. I love the phone, but it would have been nice to save a couple hundred bucks.

Now as for it still being 199 on Amazon's site.... Think about the iTunes store. They don't update at Midnight. They update at like 2am... so

They might start it at something like 6 A.M. I doubt many people are ordering phones in the middle of the night
