MattyP's .215 Leak Classroom

Ahhh...kinda confusing ;) .... seems like I could move more to my gigantic sdcard ... I think I'm only using about half of my internal though so I guess it doesn't matter...
I guess I didn't need to get such a big sd...but ya know...bigger seemed better at the time ;)

You will probably never even come close to filling up a card that big :)

My yahoo email isn't working on .215.

I tried checking my email after installing the leak, but it's saying invalid user name or password. Just like it did on GB a little before ICS was released.

I deleted the account and try to add it back as a yahoo account, but it said "this account already exists" so I tried doing "other" and it's giving me the invalid credentials crap. I know my user name and password are right.

I deleted it after trying to check my mail a few times and rebooting once.

I did wipe data and cache for the email app and the email accounts but that didn't help.

Anyone else having problems?? Could yahoo just have a bug up its butt today or something?

On a side note...I was able to flash .215 without doing the temp unroot. I did back up all my user apps and system data with TB before doing this and I do have root after installing the leak. I just had to restore root using vodoo.

Ok...after going into TB and wiping data for the email app itself and email accounts it's now working. I loaded the app and it came up asking to restore data for the accounts I have. I guess wiping data and cache partitions would have fixed it if I would have done it. I never had the best of luck with TB restoring my apps, widgets and data on my droid x so I was kinda reluctant to do it on my Max.

I'm guessing that someone on the stock ICS wouldn't need to read through all 82 pages and that all of the important information is contained in the first post? :D

Thanks s_cuttic, this is good to know. Thank you for keeping us updated. I was preparing to give you all kinds of ideas to try. It is always nice when something works out easier than we anticipate. This will come on handy if someone else has the same problem.

BaSHa, you are right... most everything you need to know is in the first post. After that is mostly helping people if they run into problems or have questions. The instructions in the first thread are very easy to follow. Most problems have been due to simple things such as making sure your phone is set to debugging mode (found in settings--> Developer options) or making sure you install the latest motorola drivers on your pc (found in folder in utility) or making sure you set your phone's usb connection mode to media.

Read, read to know where you are at, what you want to do, and how to get there. If you have any questions, just ask.

Actually, let me point out that none of that is necessary for installing the leak. I think we have forgotten that this it's the .215 classroom and not the "how to root thread"

Oh my goodness, thank you for pointing that out josh. I need to pay attention to what thread I am on. So all of that stuff I mentioned in my previous post has nothing to do with the first post and adding the leak. Thanks josh! It is always good to have someone that is paying attention.

No problem. It would be easy to get distracted by everyone rooting in this thread :)

Thanks to both of you. At this time I'm not interested in rooting, but if this leak doesn't improve things then I may start to look into rooting.

I just want something with less bugs and better battery life than what the OTA ICS is.
