I was reading about Google Now...it looks like you can get it if you're rooted..any opinions on that?

Google now apparently works nearly 100% if not 100%. I have it installed but not the most recent version, so the voice portion doesn't work. I will be trying the newest version next.

Updater is what will keep you from getting an OTA notification ...
