MattyP's .215 Leak Classroom

I finally updated yesterday to the .215 leak from stock .211. No FDRs, no battery retraining. So far, I'm really not seeing any performance differences, though I had no real complaints to begin with. If I hadn't gone to the system settings and checked the version number, I wouldn't even know anything had changed. Well ok, there's Chrome in there now, but I was already doing fine with stock browser and occasionally Dolphin.

One question that isn't covered in the instructions (and I didn't want to wade through all 32 pages of this thread, sorry) - once the update finishes successfully, I can go delete the .zip file from the SD card, right?

You might see improvement after an fdr and a battery training. But i was like you, i had no problems with .211 so i suppose it'd hard to see improvements. The people that were having problems are the ones who will see a difference.

Same for me... I had no problems with .211 and noticed very little difference with .215. I did an fdr before and after each upgrade (before & after .211 and 215)... something I got in the practice of doing when rooted og droid for every new rom, change or upgrade.

Yes, you are safe to delete the zip file off your sd card.

Edit: Oops, my buddy Josh beat me to the answer! He's the man! :-)

Thanks tis! By the way i installed my first ROM the other night and i couldn't have done it without your help rooting. Now I'm really exited about rooting and ROMs

Wow, I haven't even installed a rom yet. I have to get rid of bootstrap and install safestrap first. Kudos to you! So kewl! Which rom did you go for? I think you inspired me. I'm gonna have to check out what they have out there now.

It's on my brothers RAZR. I installed "Droid hd" because he was having trouble with his home and back keys. The Droid hd ROM had the on screen soft keys. So far it's working like a charm. He says it's fast, good reception, and good battery. No issues so far. I will likely be installing "Arctic" on mine first. Maybe tonight
