Mount storage/format system? Didn't do that step. Is it really required? What does that do?

3.5 is running much faster for me than the previous versions. Phone seems much more responsive. Is that other people's experience as well?

When we say to wipe before installing, it means you should mount storage/format system. While technically, it is possible to flash a new system without formatting system. But if you do, you're simply installing over the old system files, not starting fresh.

This wipes all of the system information and files giving you a clean slate to install the new ROM.

Not to hang anyone out to dry but the whole mounting and formatting system is a waste of time lol. The updater-script for this ROM mounts and formats the system folder before flashing a whole new one. It does NOT simply overwrite files. Hence when you are installing the ROM it will say that's what its doing. Just to clarify for everyone

flashed...everything is working great. switched themes...all my contacts are gone....cant figure out how to get them back.

set up the FB contacts thing...worked great....switched themes tried to delete the account and it wont let me

any advice?

Geez, did anybody read Guidot's Guide to flashing with Safestrap that outlined what the man himself (Hashcode) said you should do? No wonder y'all are having so many problems.
