[ROM] Maverick ROM v3.5 for Droid 3

Geez, did anybody read Guidot's Guide to flashing with Safestrap that outlined what the man himself (Hashcode) said you should do? No wonder y'all are having so many problems. ;)

Why do that when it is so much more fun to not read it, mess up one's phone and then complain about it on the internets? I personally always wipe data, cache and dalvik 3x each, yes 3x. There was a time with my DX, and it still might be the case now, that wiping did not always take and there are no guarantees that the automatic wipe that the rom does when installing actually goes through. I was taught to wipe 3x just to be safe and make sure I got a good clean install. Wiping everything 3x takes like 15 seconds longer and can only help so not sure why people are so up in arms about precautionary measures. I got a clean install on the very first day of 3.5 doing it that way and 0 problems/issues/out of the ordinary events to report. Charged up to 100% and calibrated battery and can get over a day out of a single charge easy with light use. Heavy use requires I plug in on my lunch break and I'm good for the rest of the day. Rom is fast, stable, everything works, I love to be able to hot-theme, running the deluxe memory tweaks and using JRummy's root tools to keep 100mb clear at all times helps out only having 512 to work with. To those of you having problems, I suggest you all wipe data/cache/dalvik 3x each and THEN run a fresh install. As far as contacts etc... well, if you have to ask about that then you probably should not be flashing roms yet. Lots of apps to restore all your stuff after even a complete SBF...

on 3.5 now. couple issues

1.) built in FB app isnt responding all that well. half the time i cant see what im typing when setting um my account. also pictures wont load to contacts (that whole syncing thing it does.)

2.) noticed this with 3.0. but there is a problems with the "internal" clock (for lack of a better term). what ever the clock on the unlock screen or in the notification bar is, is the right time. but the time stamp on the alarms or in texts and calls is 12 hours behind. for example: on the alarm if i set it for 6am it will go off at 6pm and vice versa.

3.) random issue with the alarm clock. its unresponsive at times when setting the alarm.

I've had some problems like this too, I tried making sure I got a clean install and that seemed to do the job. I would just flash it again, but make sure to do all the necessary wipes.

#2 is just a graphical issue. Its not set for the wrong time.

Ok, and if you don't mind me asking, what steps did you take for your wipe?

6. wipe data (in main menu)
7. wipe cache (in main menu)
8. Select mounts and storage
9. Format /system
10. Back to main menu
11. Select Advanced
12. Wipe Dalvik Cache
13. Main Menu
14. Install zip (your ROM) from SDcard
15. Reboot (should take a good while to boot, up to 5 minutes)

i did all that. skipped the first part since i was already in safe mode and coming from 3.0
