i have the speed tweak on mine and everything says it is installed but i see no speed difference at all. Nothing. I downloaded the updated one too. If i am right, i shouldnt need to manually install the kickass part right???
Rereading it it looks like i need to create a folder in the etc folder but i dont know how do do it. I try to ad a folder and it say cant do.
I am sorry for the noob question but I am sure the reason it isnt working is because i dont have this You should have a /system/etc/init.d/98kickasskernel file I have no idea how to do this. thanks

You Have To Set The Kickass That's Created In init.d And Set It To Root, Boot, Save, Then Run.
Gotta Get An Explorer Allowing Root To Go From R/O To R/W.
Here's A Free Great Program If Money Is Tight And You Don't Wanna Buy Root Explorer. Has Root Features Allowing You To Create That Folder You Need.
It's Called Super Manager.

The 3G Script Is Supposed To Increase Speeds Which I Can Say It Has.
I'm With The Guy Above I Know What The 3G Script Does.
What Does The Kernel Script Do?
Just wanted to say thank you to MikeJ92YJ for spending sometime with a old man tonight late helping me to get the speed tweak working. Makes a nice little difference. Thanks again. Its nice to see people helping people in this day and age instead up picking everything they do apart.
ps And dont let me forget the super wonderful zeppelinrox who without we wouldnt even be spending late hours working on these phones

Glad You Mentioned That Cuz I Posted Somewhere Else That I Live In A Sh*t Service Zone For 3G And It Doubled My Up And Down.
Yes... update6, I think, has new pre-sets for the MegaMem settings. The original ones were a bit too high and would cause app crashes on memory intensive apps. The current settings don't appear to be any slower, but have proven much more stable.

Thanks again for posting cleaner instructions on the OP for this great tool. I redid my settings and everything has been going great on my DX. Prior to your instructions, I tried to run the 3G TurboCharger and my 3G and wifi stopped working completely. Could provide some insight on how to get the 3G tweak to work?
