Ok, i did what you said..deleted from app/data then reboot. Now when I rebooted swype isnt on there and isnt in keyboard settings. But it is still in system/app. For the heck of it i pressed on it to intall but it said problem parsing the package. I'm a noob so i don't know what that means exactly. hah

MetaMorph themes for swype

Alright delete from system/app and install from the copy you made to your SD card by pressing on it and choosing install
It is like sneaky said it needs to be moved to system/app and not copied, it's odd that it is not letting you move it...lets try it one more time, after it installs go into data/app and before renaming the.apk long press it and select move, navigate to system/app and select paste then long press again to rename it to swype.apk if all of that works then reboot

I can now use other colors! have only tried black and red... must have been the Donation I gave!!!

it really is a good feeling to get something back in return,thank you. plus it motivates me to continue on more themes
again thanks, the donation does help me to offer the best support off of the forums untill its completed. including themeing the apk the user has and sending it back.

for people having trouble getting this done, i have found a work around.
ugh.. i updated to a Watermark'd version of Lithium mod and now my swype with your MM theme isn't working.. its weird, it just force closes now for (com.android.swype.inputmethod.apk). The actual file itself before I moved it to the system/app folder was com.android.swype.inputmethod-1.apk. Swype just won't work and will not uninstall either, force closes over and over. I have tried moving the renamed file back into the data/app folder and renaming it to com.android.swype.inputmethod-1.apk and inputmethod.apk just to see if it makes a diff.. it doesn't. if i go into my applications manager and look at it every button is greyed out but shows still the 156kb or whatever the file size is. what should i do? should i uninstall it using a file manager and wipe its data/cache? any help would be great, i really enjoyed swype.. especially with this MM theme ;[
