Motorola Droid Case Reviews

No problem. The belt cases with just a clip would be a little scary, the one in my post has a clip and a loop, it looks like if you thread the strap through the loop and the clip it would be secure, the clip would keep the strap from pulling on the loop and undoing the snap, and the loop would keep the strap from sliding out of the clip. There are also some belt cases that have a loop like that but its permanently stitched instead of a snap, those would hold unless the leather were to actually tear.

Hi People, new here.
Just receive a Noreve case in Black Illumination.
This is some photoshoot.

OK, and I just ordered a Monaco Aluminum one, I had a few ebay bucks on tap, got it for less than $17. I couldn't tell from the Seidio site whether the Innocase Surface cases have a belt clip, which is an important feature for me. I'll post some feedback when I get the case.

Be careful with the belt clip from the Monaco Aluminum case. I've had bad experiences in the past with that clip (not to mention the case and the company in general).

I have searched and searched with no luck... I'm looking for a really nice (up to $60) leather case (prefer vertical but will take horizontal) that has a belt loop (not a clip) with a velcro fastener. Just want a drop in case so I can take my droid in and out to put it on my moto docking station.
If anyone knows of such a beast, please let me know.
TIA

Ooh, I love that! I need one that would fit a 2" belt though, since my bag strap is 2", but I really like that case! Thank you!

I've read through this whole thread and appreciate all the different types of cases shared.

I tried the body glove. Didn't care for it. Mine rubbed a bit on sliding and was causing the screen to separate from the keyboard a bit, which in my previous experience is a surefire way to loosen the slider over time. I was going to just file it down and keep it, but I decided not to after picking up a dock with extra battery charging slot. Another person was returning their body glove the same time I was. He went with that army looking case and holster in VZW store. He let me try it out and I must say, the case fit nice and didn't rub at all. But the look was too rugged for me, and I much prefer the clipping system Seidio uses so I wasn't interested in trying tha tholster at all.

If anyone is looking for a holster, I have had the best experience with Seidio. In my iterations of smart phones, Seidio's clip just works best for my body. It never pinches me in the side, always stays put, and the swivel locks in the right places to be comfortable. I will eventually get one for this Droid I'm sure.

I think I'm going to try out a Sena case. I'm going to buy either the ultra slim or the kutu, but was wondering about the sound of the phone ringing.

For the few of you that own either, since the speaker isn't cut out, does it interfere with hearing the phone ringing too much? If you have the kutu, how bulky is it? Will it still fit reasonably well in a pocket?

Also, forgot to add since it was never mentioned. A lot of you fear the magnets in the leather cases. I read somewhere that the Droid by default will not stay in the dock mode if power is not applied to the device. At least, assuming you aren't using DockRunner or some app to override this.

I have a dock and I confirm that if no power is applied when I slide my phone in the dock, the screen will come on for a second and then turn right back off.

Not saying the magnets won't be a problem, just saying they *might* not be a problem. I may try a side pouch when time comes for me to want a holster; i might try it before going with my tried and true Seidio holster.

Anyone tried the Sena Laterale? If so, please let us know how it is? It's got a snap closure, but their info doens't say if it's magnetic.
TIA

Don't buy from Azmer

I wanted to get a nice case for my droid and read the reviews on here and decided to buy from Azmer.com What a mistake. My order took a month to get to my door. I had emailed Azmer many times and they seemed confused every time. When my case did finally arrive it did not fit very well. The front half will not stay on at all.
Look else where for your case needed.

I really like the Verizon Shell/Holster Combo. The shell is nice for pocket or bag carry, and it your pockets are loaded you have the holster. The holster is a hard plastic for strength and support but the shell is a rubbery plastic that won't scratch up the phone's case taking it off/putting it on. Both have that grippy texture that's kind of similar to a silicone. The phone slides into the holster screen face in so it's protected wearing it on your side. Along with that I have a screen protector. It covers all aspects of my Moto.

It's a pain in the butt when swapping out batteries but then again ANY case is going to give you that problem.
