Motorola, Verizon to debut Droid Razr at Oct. 18 event?

Um the bionic is bad ass sorry to rain on your intelligence! Except for a couple bugs. Get over it every phone has bugs at first, reality check!

Razr will be sweet but there will be bugs. And, when there are im gonna throw them in your face. Hahaha

I am eligible for an upgrade from my (very good) HTC Incredible. I had Verizon send me a Bionic. I gave it an honest shot, and tried to talk myself into keeping it, just to avoid the hassle of exchanging it. I thought the Bionic was OK, but in the end not good enough to burn my upgrade on.

The screen, while not great, I could have dealt with it. It was especially good outside, but didnt have any wow factor. The operation of the phone was rather pedestrian, but good enough. Didnt seem like a huge jump from my Incredible, but the specs are there.

Believe it or not, what really irritated me was that Moto would let a supposedly high end device like the Bionic get out the door which such a poor camera. Mine was terrible. That combined with the overall lack of wow factor contributed to my decision to send it back and use my upgrade on one of the devices coming out in the next month or two. I have no issue using my Incredible for awhile longer.

If you like your Bionic, that is great, no reason to take it personal. It is just a phone, and there is always something coming that is better. Enjoy what you have. And if you dont like it, sell it and upgrade.

Where are those pics again? Thx

I would find them for you but I'm in the car right now so I would say check out DROID life and the search tags for the DROID bionic and look back in the month of August.

Ugh. I hate this. I don't know when to stop waiting and just drop some cash on an upgrade for my DX.
Bionic, Razr, Prime...which one is the one?!?!?!?!

They're ALL the One...

Who is going to buy this phone.. It seems like most are holding out for the NexPrime or already have a Bionic?

Those like me that didnt get anything yet and just like Motorola phones. Until another Android phone can match or beat any of my Motorola phones for reception they will remain my first choice. For me reception and battery life comes first, everything else comes 2nd.

I just trapped a carrier pigeon!

Hope it was not an AT&T Pigeon... It will drop things all the time. lol

i wonder when this will actually be available as this is only a launch event? Hopefully by Nov? Then we'll have some choices....I'm glad this will be super amoled and not that pentile crap.

FYI SuperAMOLED is a pentile matrix display. It is a different subpixel layout than the pentile matrix displays that everyone dislikes that Moto has been using as of late, but it is still pentile. It uses a RGBG layout instead of the RGBW layout of the current pentile matrix qHD displays. At any rate it should be much better than the current Moto qHD displays.

Three phones to choose from now. Grrrr Anyone heard any leaked info if the HD/Razr is supposed to launch with ICS???

Launch with ICS? No. Will it get ICS? Yes. Probably pretty fast given Moto's reputation for giving high end Verizon phones upgrades pretty quickly.

I definitely want one, but until Moto keeps up their promise to unlock the b-word, I am going to wait. I have to buy a Nexus and a Vigor already as it is...

In the teaser what would the number 42 stand for? also which element/chemical structure did they show?

After doing some Google search work it is the organic structure for kevlar...seems to match up with the rumors

Still searching for the meaning of the number 42...

Maybe they are fans of The Hitchhiker's Guide... 42 (number) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So am I going to have a Razr next week or are they just announcing it? The date on the bionic teaser was the release date, wasn't it?
