This is probably just some Verizon gimmick to increase hype for the phone they are releasing in two weeks.

Actually i get good battery life with heavy use about 12hrs , its probably due to being able to put a custom kernel on since bootloader isnt locked down like ft. Knox...Has To Charge 4 da WIN

But that required modifying from stock out of the box and or buying an extended battery like others to reach that point.............glad you didn't have to buy a battery like others but having to modify once you open the box kinda seems like something they should have worked out before it went on shelves LOL. At least (like i said in another thread) RIM got it right with these stupid blackberries and I can get 2 full days heavy use before needing to find a wall outlet and thats about it (hence why I am jumping to an android). I just don't like the fact with the TB you have to mod it out of the box to be able to hold a charge long enough for my work day. Actually probably why I wont ever buy any HTC (not just TB) is their poor battery management.

After coming to my senses I decided to just wait to here what The Panda(BMX) comes back with.. As of right now i am just going to wait and see and not make any decisions. My next phone will be Dual Core weather it is the Bionic, GS2, or Targa. What ever comes out of this we will be fine.. Now I see what the TB people were going through!:icon_eek:

So, if the Bionic "goes back to the drawing board", what are the next prospects for dual core on 4GLTE on Verizon and when are those devices expected at this point? I'm ready to upgrade and give my X to my son. I made the mistake of telling him and now he's bugging me like an itch that can't be scratched.

I find it hard to believe they would scrap it this late in the game. Normally the time to scrap it would have been 2 months ago. To scrap it this late in the game shows a huge breakdown in your system. Just from a business standpoint it seems like it would be bad to scrap it this late and that is why I think it is still a go, but time will prove me right or wrong.

FWIW, I just got off the horn with Motorola. They said the Bionic will be released. They said they don't have an exact release date but it will definitely be released. But interestingly, they said it will "more or less be with verizon" hmmm

there still hasn't been any solid confirmation, but all indications are that the Sammie GS2 is coming to VZW. given that it's scheduled for a UK release in May, it should hit the US sometime in the summer. and the GS2 looks to be a MONSTER of a device!!! (EDIT: actually, it appears the GS2 release may be before the summer: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dr...st-reaffirms-galaxy-s-ii-coming-us-month.html)

and, Moto isn't "back to the drawing board" with the Bionic. Moto's been working on the Targa which, spec-wise, has always seemed to me to be a "better" Bionic - dual core (at least), LTE, ffc, more RAM, 12 mp camera, qHD 4.3" screen (it's speculated), etc. i still suspect that Moto is just going to rename the Targa and call it the Bionic, and try to save some face. intel is that it will be released Q3 (imo, to compete with iP5).

but, the Targa was thought to maybe be an unlocked/pure Google device. but, if they decide to rename it as the Bionic, the big concern i have is that they may change their minds and lock it down.

"more or less with VZW" sounds to me like "it'll go to Alltel", like the HTC Merge. that would be fine with me - means VZW would get the Targa, and it still has a chance of being unlocked.

Nope I think Moto is hurting in the sales department and they know they've taken too long to release, not to mention the continous power management problems they are having with the NVIDIA chipset working properly with the CMDA chipset and battery life issues as expected, so they have to come with something stronger than the Bionic at this point. They are accustom to releasing phones that put them on top of the game, not phones that just put them in the mix.

Motorola is known as a game changer and they can't change the game with the Bionic, so all you peeps holding out for the Bionic need to hang in there because the competition is going to get fierce when Motorola bounces back with the Targa that is supposedly suppose to be their first LTE phone as I've read else. I always say better late than never.
