Moto's Bionic is Dead?

I was hoping to get the Bionic for my wife :cus:

For your wife... Yeah right Me thinks you would aquire the Bionic from your wife.

Given there has been no refute from Moto or VZW, it is either true, or their PR efforts are out of touch.

IF the Bionic is canceled, it seems July will be the best case for the Targa and the Droid X 2 will beat it to launch. No 4G with the Droid X2 though.

Seems the roadmap for VZW dual cores is pretty awful ATM, but fits their strategy of pushing out mid-level devices at premium prices. The thought there being people will stick with them, due to their better data coverage map. Smart move for margins, but sucky for the consumer.

Not better late then never when your have the iPhone 5 right around the corner, you'll have a nice list of people that will be willing to wait/get that in stead....

Not to mention if att and tmobile start sharing frequencies and towers their signal will be closing in on vzw... not a good time to have your hand stuck down your pants while everyone else is capitalizing and growing very rapidly....

Tell me how exactly that the phone would go to Alltel when the remaining alltel store in the us are being bought out and replaced by sprint as we speak. Alltel is going to be completely dissolved by Q3 anyway because the remaining markets are being sold off like antiques.

UPDATE: It seems that the sources are split on the matter as some have pointed out that the DROID BIONIC will only be delayed due to battery and performance issues, which qualify as routine work rather than a show-stopper. We'll update you as soon as we have more information on this, but for the time being, it seems that there's still some chance for the BIONIC to make it to the shelves.

This is what I've always thought...one would think that the PR department would pick up on these things and someone would realize that the internet is ablaze with rumors and try and douse some of those flames with actual hard facts!

Either A.) They don't know the facts or B.) They really ARE out of touch or C.) They don't care WHAT the internet thinks! :icon_eek:

True, but i can't even go to their page right now, its all bugged out change from .com/droidbionic to .com/#!/droidbionic. its weird, but searching around i can find the two announcements they made.

EDIT: got it working by going around it.

Right now those are rumors. If its still on motos page then its a go. Vzw and moto wouldnt do all that hyping to scrap it at the last minute.

Exactly What hype are you talking about? The only info I ever get is from these forums.

I bet all this noise is just Verizon trying to amp up excitement for bionic when it does get announced.
