myLock in Market! Skip the Lock Screen!

Are you sure it is enabled? Go into the settings and make sure you didn't accidentally uncheck the box.

When you're on a phone call, myLock is not going to interfere because, by default, the lock screen is disabled by the OS when on a phone call.

If you go into the myLock app there are some settings you can change.
- Place settings launcher in notifcations : places an icon in the notifaction bar
- Keep screen awake : self explanatory
- Use widget welcome screen as lock screen: Enabling/disabling this function will change whether you see the slide to unlock screen briefly or the welcome screen from myLock.

The way myLock works is this.... it has to wait for the OS to call on the lock screen "ie wake up" and then it runs to bypass the screen. So this is where the 'flicker' of the lock screen is coming from. The lock screen has to be called upon first for this app to run.
It has improved greatly since the first alpha and I'm sure will continue to improve.

I DL'd this last night for the first time.....and last night it was working, although like Matth3w was talking about, the lockscreen would show up for a second or 2 before skipping it....

But this morning, I brought my phone out of sleep, and it stayed on the lockscreen like normal?? Like I forgot that myLock was even turned til I seen the icon up in the notifications bar...so I tried it again by locking the phone and sure enough when I pressed the power button it DID NOT skip the lockscreen, I had to slide it across to get into my phone....

Very weird...
I don't have any of the options in the app enabled. Seems to run best for me this way. I found leaving the "notication bar" setting caused the lock screen to sometimes re appear.

What I have found that works is this. Disable all the check marks. If you still get this issue.... power down, do a battery pull and you should be fine.
Keep in mind this app is still being ironed out. :)

Thanks for the info guys....I'll check that out...

And yeah I know it's still in beta and has some ways to be improved, it is still a good handy little tool to have though...I'm not doggin it I swear!!

Works great.
Use widget welcome screen doesn't work for me though.
Which is fine....I just don't select it.

Thank you!

I was testing this a couple weeks ago and someone suggested the following that works pretty good

3 apps from the Market: myLock, Button Shortcut, Voice Dialer VH

Set the long press of the camera button to Voice Dailer with Button shortcut.

Now if you are in the car you can press the power button followed by a long press of the camera button and initiate a call with your voice. No looking at the phone required, it can all be done by touch.

So can you put widgets on that screen? If so how cuz i can't figure it out

Not yet. But I do believe it's something the developer is planning on.

I'm not sure where the widget would go. My phone is locked, the screen is dark. I hit the power button and it bypasses the lockscreen and I'm at my desktop/homescreen. I might see the lockscreen flicker by quickly but it wouldn't be there long enough to see anything useful really.

You can check out the link in the first post to the development thread, or the dev's website. I'm not sure what he has planned or how it would work. :)

Love this App!!! I have been using since beta alpha 1 (i think that what it was). This developer is VERY responsive. Thank you!

In the settings if you select the third option(I think it says use widget welcome screen) and there is just pretty much a blank screen except for clock so they would go there I'm guessing

Not only did having the icon in the info bar cause double starts, but on my droid, so did having the sleep mode in Setcpu set to 250/250. It stopped doing the double starts when I moved that setting to 550/250. I reversed this setting a few times to confirm that it did cause double starts. So, I'm now at 550/250 sleep.

Hi all appreciated users-

Sorry if it wasn't clear but the replacement lockscreen isn't finished. I have a note about that on the market download description.

Turning it on is just my way of teasing you with the feature under construction. I'm currently using my test build which you can try if you uninstall market ver, and visit our download page on the project google code site. I find the operation in my alpha3 build much smoother and more responsive in stock 2.0.1 than the market ver.
