myLock in Market! Skip the Lock Screen!

What I like about Screen Mode Widget is that now all I have to do is press ANY key to wake up the phone.

I simply have it in "Awake Stay" mode, and press the Camera button now to turn the phone on. No more unlock, and I don't have to find the awkward power button. And it's easy to change the settings with the widget, rather than actually go into the settings.

pressing 'any key' can lead to pocket dialing.
akward power button? really?

you can easily change mylock by tapping on the icon which opens the app settings.

not to mention the myLock dev is active and responsive here in the forum.

no widget to take up screen realty with myLock.

I agree with Martin. I've had Screen Mode for a while and now as of last night, myLock. I like myLock much more than Screen Mode as the latter would change its own status on its own. Took a while for it to initiate at all - needed a reboot to stay set.

On the other hand myLock worked right away, and it sounds as though the dev is determined to improve it even more. I appreciate his efforts and am keeping myLock.

I downloaded and installed the new alpha3 version of Mylock (Downloads - mylockforandroid - Project Hosting on Google Code) and really like it. It is much smoother than alpha2 and it opens cleanly even when I put my Setcpu "Sleep Profile" to 250/250. Alpha2 would do a little two step with that profile. So, I'm a happy guy right now.

The camera button sort of wakes the phone now, but it only goes to the new Icon Screen with the big clock and three buttons that do not work at this time (prev, play, & next). I don't like the idea of the camera button being able to totally wake the phone. I like having to use the recessed power button. I want no pocket/butt dials taking place. I hope the dev puts in an option to deactivate this option in the future.

Overall thought alpha3 is extremely smooth. Try it, you'll like it.

Downloaded yesterday nice app. Simple but does the job. I like the widget mode

Sweet! An update already. I liked it anyway, now it is even better. I like how it starts up automatically now after initial unlock.

I sent $5.99 via PayPal. Keep up the great work in a great app.

Another 'new' apk released on the dev's website in the last 36 hours.
The developer is on the ball with this app. Always has been :)

All your support is very important. I am doing this open source as an independent developer. I'm spending time not only improving the app but carefully documenting all of the progress. My hope is that other developers will be able to learn & improve their lockscreen app designs in some way thanks to myLock.

Your donations come straight to me and it really makes a difference after all the time I have spent on this app. Android really needs community members like you to support open source by being willing to test, give thorough feedback & suggestions, & donate when you are satisfied with the result.

How can I donate? I would be happy to chip in something for such a great app. Thanks for all of your hard work!

I have plans to go ahead and put up a donation version in the market. I don't believe in free version/full version for such simple & small apps, but I want an option directly in market to donate without going to our paypal separately. Plenty of small scale apps offer donate purchase. If you want to donate now, go to the project blog at myLock for android and click the donate button on the left sidebar. Martin, if you could edit the first post with these donate instructions, that'd be great.
