Just to throw this out there as i see more about the HTC Desire, it seems to have it's own maps and navigation system that they want you to pay extra for. Do you all think that that is something that would find it's way on to the DincHD? Like the fascinate do you think it will make you jump a few hurdles to get to google nav?

I think HTC is trying to offer a "better" GPS experience. Google maps is a market application and cannot be blocked by HTC. I will not be paying for maps or navigation as that is one of the built-in features that made me "buy in" to the idea of Android and I think Google Maps has served me well with my D1.

why does everyone forget about wifi? are you only waiting for 4G so you can camera chat while your out on the road driving?

Because those of us who travel or away from the house with no wifi tolerate 3G speeds but clearly want better.

Ya but I'm just talking about ffc its not that important that it has to be with 4G

lots of signs pointing to the HD's arrival ..just no press confrernce yet :icon_evil:.... I also haven't see the press release for the merge but well VZW gave one away recently...now how's that happen and no one knows it's coming :icon_eek:

I think they named the merge as a give-away by mistake. They meant the incredible. It was a typo.

Also, for the DincHD to have an HD resolution, it would have to be based on Gingerbread. This is the first release allowing for high res. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Right but u can't walk down the street and use wifi, its only available in some places, so it'll be stupid to come out with a phone and not be able to use one of the key fetures anywhere.

Seriously? Are you listening to yourself? You can't use wifi while walking down the street? NO ****. You also can't be having a video chat while walking down the street because you'll end up walking into someone and pissing them off or getting hit by a bus. Not to mention the last time i checked, the KEY features of a phone for most consumers are being able to place calls, send texts, check email and do a bit of web browsing. If i want a video chat, I've got a laptop for the road and a desktop at home.

Because those of us who travel or away from the house with no wifi tolerate 3G speeds but clearly want better.

I don't get why everyone has such a hard-on for this "4g" I'm I'm travelling away from my fiancee I'm sure as hell not staying in a hotel with no wifi and if I cant afford to stay in a hotel that doesn't have wifi, I DONT have enough money to be buying a phone with 4g capabilities because of the price of the handset and the added monthly fees.

Then again I wasn't raised in the codependent generation that we have now where a text to your girlfriend of 2 weeks is needed every hour, let alone would my fiancee EVER expect me to video chat with her at any point during the day other than when I'm at my hotel at night. But Ive got wifi there so I would be using my laptop to have a video chat.

I don't know why its called the HD when it'll have the same resolution? I guess it might record in true HD 1080?

You should just have a Cricket phone, for real. You don't need 3g.

I day trade and instant access to data is vital for me!!!! If a webpage takes 2 seconds longer to dl for me, that COULD cost me money!

Wow someone is grumpy. Just because 4g, and ffc's are of no interest to you, doesn't mean no one else might want them. No reason to get nasty just because others may feel differently.
