Mysterious Device Now With November 23 Launch date

Why would they put a FFC on a early model that was supposed to be a 3g phone and then just take it away later? I'm very sure it will have one, but it will just work over WiFi.
Test fitting? Like in some older automobiles, they would be wired for additional options but missing the extra goods. My vehicle was wired for A/C through the dash, but was not fitted with the compressor or condenser. Same chassis, but "upgradeable". This would fit with the theory of an early 3G/no FFC, later 4G w/FFC without the added expense of another shell, just internal components.

True, but I still believe they wouldn't take it away. It's a HUGE selling point that gives this phone an advantage over all the other current high end devices and VZW and HTC knows it.
Technically, if it doesn't have it "officially", not having it when it's officially announced (if it exists) then it's really not "taking" anything away.

If they release a 3g version with no ffc or hdmi, then what's the selling point for the common person to choose this over the droid x? A lot of people don't actually know or wonder about the insides of the phone, they're more worried about the outside looking style/features than the cpu/gpu etc.

Personally, I'd love to have a ffc, whether it be wifi only or 3g. I feel that i'd get use out of it.

What is the point of this without the FFC over the Droid X?

Form Factor
Sense 2.5
Possibly faster processor
No MotoBlur

As far as the FFC is concerned...the only reason I see them leaving if off the 3G device is that would give a reason for folks to jump to the LTE version after it is released later 1st quarter 2011. Again - this is just a guess.

IF the 3G version is a slightly beefed up Desire HD (Slightly faster CPU, slightly more memory), and no extra features like FFC and HDMI out... then there is a 0% chance I am getting this. I'd just wait for the LTE phones even though I don't have LTE in my area and won't for a while no doubt. I'd be willing to $10/month more if it meant I can have a phone that is a SIGNIFICANT upgrade.

With that being said, I certainly don't think this is going to be the case otherwise Miami wouldn't be so giddy to dump his X for this device.

I just hope he can give us something tomorrow, he signed an NDA and still seem to hint at monday.. So that should mean something hopefully

I am with you!!! 4G is in my area with Sprint so I am hoping it will be here with Verizon. I am hoping the the LTE version will have the HDMI jack or I will be going with the T2...

I'm just ready to get rid of my sketchy at&t service, so I will jump on this the second it is released. I get voicemails two days old, my data connection ceases to function at least once a day, forcing me to rebot, and i have dropped calls more than should be normal - and oh yeah GSM is just not that great at penetrating into buildings it seems...

If you read my post you'll see I referred to the common person, who would most likely not know the difference between firmwares, ui's, or any CPU under the hood. They'll go for an outter style and name they know. Without a Ffc i'd say a lot of common people may go for an x considering both have Large screens and motorola is a name that's known by a lot. A ffc would draw a large crowd to it because it's something new and gives the consumer the option to use it.

I understand some of us do not like motor blur. But that should be in no way of stopping anyone from buying the dx. I was playing with one of my gf's htc evo and it didn't seem as customizable as the dx. It even lagged compared to the dx. But as Miami has said before, he will choose the dinc hd over the dx. So sense must be waaaay better! The resolution must be clearer and the phone maybe faster? So that's what's holding me back from buying the dx for now.

I personally don't like the dx the screen is just to tall its not Comfortable I don't have a problem with the extra width of the evo

I think we need to see Verizon finish promoting some of their devices that are coming out the next couple of weeks (Merge? Continuum? DPro?). they may not want the Inc HD confirmed until these other devices generate sales.

Another comment that is not being talked about here. Lets say this is two devices. Will the 3G version have that "HD" resolution that is better than anything yet on a Android Smart Phone? After all, why name it "HD"?
