Well now that I'm just straight ignoring Mr. All-about-me, we can actually talk about the phone.

I think LG has a few AMOLEDs too, but they ain't giving them out! SLCD is fine with me.

Do you think it'll have the G2's anti-hack mechanism? I mean I can't imagine HTC putting it on one phone and not the rest.

YES it is. If you don't want the product isn't it easy to go buy something else or just wait it out? Is it LIFE AND DEATH TO YOU?

When I was employed as a private contractor accross the pond, do you think I sat and complained about the gear that I was buying if I didn't like it? NO. If company A didn't have the requirements I wanted for the kit that I would be literally TRUSTING MY LIFE TO, I moved on to company B, C, etc. until I found the company that made a product that met my criteria.

I had 4 options, replace the gear that had been beat up yet fit my requirements with the same thing, look for new and improved gear that exceeded my requirements and production standards, make ridiculous demands which wouldn't be heard by ANYONE in time for the changes to go into production, OR I could have put together a business proposal, sought a backer, and actually produced the product that was well produced and exceeded my requirements and those of my fellow contractors(pretty unrealistic) .

In other words in a situation which was quite literally life and death, I had 3 options, stick with what worked, upgrade, or complain that there wasn't an upgrade available that i deemed worthy and NOT BUY ANYTHING. This was with things like body armor, over vests, weapons systems etc. To ME complaining about a cell phone IS pretty ridiculous when in the long run you're NOT going to die without it.

Again thats not directed at anyone in particular but be a bit realistic guys. I agree a LTE phone would be nice with a FFC for you kids that want one. Is it going to stop me from buying a 3g version in a month and then an lTE version in 3-4 more months? NO. I realise not everyone can afford to do what I do as I dont have children but if you can't common sense just says to wait.

On a SERIOUS NOTE. (please just move on from my previous posts.) Isn't ANYONE a bit hesitant to upgrade to a first gen LTE phone? Thats part of the reason I'm going to upgrade to a new phone this winter on a 1 year contract, because by this time next year 2nd and possibly 3rd gen phones will be out that have the bugs worked out. Remember we ARE going to a pretty much new technology over here stateside. I mean shyte they just had problems with the 4th gen Iphone LOL.

Why wouldn't that apply to everything you pay for? If I'm going to spend $200 on a phone and then another $2500 on the service, then you bet your butt I'm going to e demanding some things from VZW. I'm thinking the same thing. I think it's worth it to just spend the extra $70 to get some flexibility. We can always Ebay the thing too and by the new version on a month2month contract.

To quote that engineer, "it's just swapping out the radio". So, no, not particularly concerned with a 1st gen LTE. The sim card and radio tech will have already been tested in PC cards for several months ahead. And your phones already run "dual band", so to speak, switching seamlessly between 3G and Edge.

I'd be more concerned with the dual core tech that's coming out, but again that stuffs been out in the PC world for years so it's not completely new and untested.

I'm not the least bit worried. The stakes are too high for VZW, Moto, HTC or someone else to screw this up.

Bing goes to the non "droid" phones like the Fascinate. If this is the "droid" incredible HD it probably will not be bingified, but it probably will have the G2's anti-hacking software.

LOL did you forget the utter shyte they tried to pass off as cellular phones when they made the switch from analogue to digital? Dropped calls constantly, dead zones where you were supposed to have full coverage. Failure of phone to transfer from one tower to the next, etc. If Apple can screw up a radio and an antenna in the ONE handset they produce, I have no reason to believe companies pumping out a couple new phones every 2-3 moths are are going to put out a product or two that doesn't live up to the hype.

I'm all about progress but I don't adopt unproven gear. I'll give it 6 months to a year after the first phones come out then adopt.
