Quick question,

Has any of you seen the South Park episode where Cartman freezes him self so he doesn't have to stiff out the painful wait of the Wii?

I would like to attempt this...anyone up for freezing me and thawing me out in time for pre-orders?

I know its only 2 weeks, so my body should be fine until then...any takers?

The wait is crazy..last time I got this hyped up was for Fable II...and what a disappointment that was...

This pretty much confirms this device will NOT be out soon. VZW has their holiday lineup set. They are probably planning on making a huge push in the new year. Maybe I can talk VZW into giving me a phone at a discount price to help me wait it out. If not I guess I will be looking elsewhere for service

Hahahaha, you will all be saying "wait...Miami and Matt were right! Thank you" this will be said on the 23rd or Black Friday. And no this doesn't say anything at all. They want a VERY quite launch and push this during the holiday season. They want to get some more incredibles sold. Can you say u agree Miami?

Just a thought though. I completely see them wanting to sell more Dincs, but don't they run the risk of half the people who buy them this week see the HD and then go back within their 30 days and trade up for the HD? Seems like cost more money in the long run.

Thinking into it a little further, maybe reason for the silent release. Sell a bunch of Dincs keep it quiet and the 30 day trail runs out before the casual customer knows the difference. Sell a ton of HD's to all the phone junkies like us.

That's a good thing for vz if people are returning them. They're making 35 bucks a pop if ppl return there recently purchased phone. That's exactly what I'm doing .. my storm died and I needed a phone so I went out and got the incredible to hold me over until this phone comes out. And as previously mentioned they don't make money off selling the phones but they do make money on the restocking fee .. after that they can add it to the certified pre owned list for people who need a replacement phone and they'll make even more money.

42 3G / 6 4G. Would have thought it would have been closer than that.

For a lot of us 4g isn't / won't be a viable option for quite some time. Most of us are eligible to upgrade yearly so it doesnt make sense to wait 4.5 mos (till LTE is released) and then add another 6/24 mo until it is readily available. Add to that that the rumors are strong they are doing away with unlimited data on LTE and there will also be a surcharge. Most of us would prefer to stay on 3G without a surcharge and keep unlimited data........at the very least until LTE is widely available and not only in certain distinct areas.....and maybe I'm wrong but I am guessing it will be after my next eligible upgrade (11/23/11 if things go right)

And why, after one person shares their opinion that the phone isn't coming out, does this thread spiral downward. Chill out everyone and look how many positive signs we have...
1) they just silently released through global two days early
2) we have Miami and black man x confirming there are two devices. So why is anyone still speculating this?
3) it sounds like more and more lower end vz reps are hinting towards new phones and that one is definitely out on the 23. It got to the point where someone was recommended not to get the x and wait.
4) other than lack of confirmed info there is absolutely no signs pointing towards a push.

I'm sure this list could grow to ten but ill stop there. Everyone even if no info comes out today or tomorrow, let's just keep positive on this thread and pass the time until the 23rd. Thanks.

Yes! but he also ended up WAY too far in the future where they no longer had the equipment to play!!!! It's a catch-22.

It seems to me that on the DroidDoes.com site, that it is VERY easy to swap the Incredible with the Incredible HD.

It also seems odd that VErizon would be "pimping" a "spring" phone to purchase for Chrsitmas.


I just consider it a placeholder.

The one difference here being the other deivces have had some "decent" info leak out. Inc HD non-LTE is the least info based device and a very short runway to 11/23.

Droid Global has been info leaked like crazy. I am not "buying" a 11/23 date, but will buy it for real if released Hope it has 16gb built in rather than the skimpy 8gb.

-This phone to be released this month...2 weeks from thursday even..
-a secret enough leak so that when I go to order it or get it from Verizon, I wont have to wait in line or have to be told its on back order. Like the X
-a keyboard-less phone with the sexy sense ui
-to be on post page 200
-and a 1 year contract..

just want this phone bad...like REAL BAD...Droid 1 is my buddy but hes getting annoying...want a new friend...

It's clear to me the VZW is doing exactly what they want. They have people freaking out that this phone is not coming out, and that this phone will not come out, so that we'll run out and by the DX, D2 Global or the DINC. It's simple business practices to not allow this information out.

I was in my local VZW store last night, and the rep mentioned they have just been notified of a bunch of new holiday phones but that they can't release the information until corporate releases the information because: "Then everyone will just wait for these new phones and not get our current stock out of here." Bottom line, trust MIAMI, he has not led us to believe that anything has changed, and that this phone is most likely on the way by the 23rd. Patience is a virtue.

Why dont Verizon stop the rumors They can say yes or no :icon_eek: or maybe????dancedroid
