Mysterious Device Now With November 23 Launch date

And why, after one person shares their opinion that the phone isn't coming out, does this thread spiral downward. Chill out everyone and look how many positive signs we have...
1) they just silently released through global two days early
2) we have Miami and black man x confirming there are two devices. So why is anyone still speculating this?
3) it sounds like more and more lower end vz reps are hinting towards new phones and that one is definitely out on the 23. It got to the point where someone was recommended not to get the x and wait.
4) other than lack of confirmed info there is absolutely no signs pointing towards a push.

I'm sure this list could grow to ten but ill stop there. Everyone even if no info comes out today or tomorrow, let's just keep positive on this thread and pass the time until the 23rd. Thanks.

The one difference here being the other deivces have had some "decent" info leak out. Inc HD non-LTE is the least info based device and a very short runway to 11/23.

Droid Global has been info leaked like crazy. I am not "buying" a 11/23 date, but will buy it for real if released Hope it has 16gb built in rather than the skimpy 8gb.

Also, who are the two posters people refer to? Can they be confirmed as legit sources (I do not know- just asking)?

Here are the apparent items against a 11/23 release:

1. No real leaked info with less than two weeks (in contrast to the other devices). This has never happened. Black Ops handling the launch?
2. Holiday line-up does not show the device
3. Droid Global's silent release validates nothing, since the device already had been shown and admitted already by VZW (Inc HD has not been).
4. With the X selling well, already announced devices and the Samsung Tab coming in November- why release something that has had zero info to date?
5. Where is the FCC posting?

I would guess there is a 10% chance the Inc HD is coming on 11/23 and that is only due to the sources mentioned above. I will extend good faith in people here are not just believing idle posts. No offense to the sources, since I do not know them, so assume nothing

Again, IF the device is sold on 11/23 I will eat sum' crow' and buy one

It's clear to me the VZW is doing exactly what they want. They have people freaking out that this phone is not coming out, and that this phone will not come out, so that we'll run out and by the DX, D2 Global or the DINC. It's simple business practices to not allow this information out.

I was in my local VZW store last night, and the rep mentioned they have just been notified of a bunch of new holiday phones but that they can't release the information until corporate releases the information because: "Then everyone will just wait for these new phones and not get our current stock out of here." Bottom line, trust MIAMI, he has not led us to believe that anything has changed, and that this phone is most likely on the way by the 23rd. Patience is a virtue.

Why dont Verizon stop the rumors They can say yes or no :icon_eek: or maybe????dancedroid

I think yes and no are 2 definite answers...maybe on the other hand, illicit rumors...even speculation.

I am beginning to agree with you. I do not understand why we haven't seen anything on this yet. Nothing. Not since August. I just have a hard time believing that HTC and Verizon could keep this phone this quiet. Even Apple can't keep things this quiet ahead of a major release.

I think this has been a massively cruel joke on the part of Verizon and HTC. I think Miami knew something several weeks back and may have info now...but he is being controlled by Verizon like a puppet. And we are all fools for getting our hopes this high.

My contract with Verizon expires on 11/22 and if this phone isn't announced by then...I am leaving Verizon. Between the horrible customer service with my Storm and this horrible joke they are playing on us through Miami...I am so pissed at them.

Again - I am not holding Miami responsible...but he has clearly been used by Verizon to build hype and jerk us all around. I wonder if this phone doesn't get released if Miami would have done anything different with whatever information he had three weeks ago if he had known how this is playing out now. I just wonder...what if...Verizon decided to push the phone to January...and in an attempt to keep people interested opted to use Miami and his honesty to help build hype and keep people interested until they could announce this for a January release. Damn...if they did that then we are all suckers and they are a$$holes.

Miami - when this all blows over and the phone isn't released I hope you will share with us what they had over you that kept you so silent.

I would be glad to eat my words and have this released in two weeks...but at this point I just don't see that happening.

Who wants to bet that we get another tease going into yet another weekend saying..."we should have info on Monday".

The folks at Verizon must be having a good laugh at all of us right about now.

I am 100% certain that the 3G exists. But Nov 23rd? Let's just say it requires a leap of faith.

Wow, I've never seen so many people complain over a phone. This is getting a little ridiculous. It's not like Verizon made you get your hopes up, you did that on your own. Miami and Verizon don't owe us anything. If you're going to switch carriers or upgrade to a different phone if you don't hear anything by tomorrow or whenever, you might as well switch now. Complaining about the phone isn't going to make the specs come out faster.

There are two groups of people it seems. The ones who will wait, and the ones who won't. Doesn't matter to me where you stand but if you're only waiting until ___day, then you are apart of the group who isn't willing to wait. Everybody just needs to calm. It's just a phone. Yes a very nice phone that a lot of us have been waiting on, but it's still just a phone. If you really need a new phone that bad, you can look on ebay or something. But until then, why don't we all just settle down. Miami said he will post more info when he can so heckling him about it won't do squat.

I am starting to agree, there has been a serious lack of leaks on this thing. Everyone says the Merge is a "silent" release, but goodness I have seen pics, FCC info, etc. a long time ago. Same with the Droid 2, Pro, etc. There was (published) info weeks out from the releases.

I can't speak for everyone...but I am not heckling Miami about this or blaming him. I think the last three weeks and over 300 pages of posts are the result of a very carefully crafted marketing ploy by Verizon to build hype on this device so that they could buy time and push this back. I am beginning to think there isn't a snow balls chance in hell that this device hits in November.

I would love to be wrong though.

As for the hype...Verizon has given Miami so many dates that he could release data or have the conversations necessary to release data that there have been nearly a dozen missed deadlines - not because of Miami but because of Verizon people jerking us around.

I guess HTZ/VZW have something in common with Apple - they both have mythical devices. Apple has the white iPhone and Verizon has the DINC HD.
