i agree, the only way i would of waited is if this phone didnt end up coming to life because im using my grandma's upgrade (on a different account all together) and going to use her NE2 credit since she will never want/need anything more than a dumbphone i am just going to buy her a new flip phone for the favor! lol

then next year who knows when i will buy again and use my droid line to upgrade to a 2.0GHZ+ LTE Honeycomb phone.. lol

that is exactly what i am hoping to do with my grandmas upgrade on a totally separate account lol. can that be done even though it is a sep acct.? also she doesn't have the data pkg so kdon't know if that makes a difference either.

same situation she doesnt have data either, i called verizon twice and asked to make sure and they guy said you can buy a phone and do whatever you want with it..

in this case, go to verizon with her, buy phone on contract, dont activate it (he said i wouldnt have to) and then just call on behalf of my account and activate the phone that way..

he said you dont have to add data until you activate it on the specific account all they care about is the piece of paper you sign saying your going to be with verizon for 2 more years.. thats the important thing.. only downer is he said i may have trouble putting insurance on the the device on my account vs hers

I just stored my car away for the winter and I come back to read these last 12 pages. Effin awesome. I got so excited when I read miamis post. And to think everyone this afternoon was ready to give up ha ha! Not me. Not in the slightest.

One clarification guys. I don't know if anyone remembers but I was the one with the broken storm and I needed a phone to get me thru the 23rd. Got the inc to get used to sense. I'm going to have to return this Thursday before I preorder, correct?

That wont work in the sotre. The reps will activate it on the account buying it. Order online and it will work just fine

This board is amazing, one person makes some statement that they think something is going to happen to the DINCHD with no basis, no evidence, no information to go off of at all and then everyone else freaks out for 10 pages.

Just got off the phone with VZW... My annual upgrade is on the 18th but he got it approved by his supervisor to upgrade me as early as today. He said that if this phone does go to presale Friday then I can purchase it for the 2 yr contract price + A $20 early upgrade fee. This purchase will qualify for any rebate that is offered. He has scheduled an appt to call me back on Friday as soon as he gets in to complete the transaction...

NOW THATS GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Not bad for a phone that doesn't even exist officially yet.

It 'exists'. The rep I spoke with knew of the pre-sale starting on Friday for the Droid Incredible HD.

... side note... I wasn't even aware of the annual upgrade on lines $49.99 and up (I was incorrect in stating it was $59.99 and up previously) and had just recently changed my plan from a $39.99 + $20 for texts and $29.99 for data..... when the rep explained I now had the option to upgrade annually. Well that doesn't take hold until 90 days after my account change, which puts me in January.

I'm not cranky with policy... it is what it is... but I'm not happy... and will be making numerous calls until I get the desired result. I was paying more than required, just the breakdown wasn't the same.... Verizon will lose me as a customer. ( I know I know, they don't care )

Sorry for venting... but I'm not happy after being shut down repeatedly for the 69.99 plan when plenty of others who didn't 'qualify' got it and now this news....

My source could always be wrong :icon_eek: it's happened before...:icon_ devil: just not about phone releases (too often)...oh and the merge doesn't exist either but somehow it's accessories show up in VZW's system go figure that one out..

Wow that would be hell for so many people here! haha, i know it wouldn't be your fault if the dinc hd wasnt for pre-sale yet. you dont make the call, you just share. but omg, i can just see this thread turn into a mess. haha.

I hope the DINC HD's preorder and ship date is much like the Droid Pro.

Apparent'y today it was available to preorder and people were getting ship notifications. Verizon officially announced that it was a couple of days later then what actually happened.


although, this is not an official annoucement by any means. But we can hope.

If Friday is true, this will be the most secret pre-info device launch evah'.

even if the pre-order day is incorrect do we need to speculate at all anymore this phone exist or is coming before years end? if you say yes then you just want to for the sake of argument lol.. its as for sure as for sure gets without official announcement.

I have a Motorola Droid and am looking to pick this bad boy up. So will I have to reinstall all my apps manually, or will the device sync with my Google account and reinstall them automatically?

i was wondering that myself, i know we get to keep purchased apps and contacts (thank god) but i wonder if it will start installing apps as soon as you sync your gmail account.. if someone answered this already sorry im still catching up lol

my roomate just bought a fascinate and didnt activate it til he got home.. so maybe different for different stores..

do they offer pre-order to pick up in store the day its available? I dont want to wait for the mail man! lol
