that is exactly what i am hoping to do with my grandmas upgrade on a totally separate account lol. can that be done even though it is a sep acct.? also she doesn't have the data pkg so kdon't know if that makes a difference either.
same situation she doesnt have data either, i called verizon twice and asked to make sure and they guy said you can buy a phone and do whatever you want with it..
in this case, go to verizon with her, buy phone on contract, dont activate it (he said i wouldnt have to) and then just call on behalf of my account and activate the phone that way..
he said you dont have to add data until you activate it on the specific account all they care about is the piece of paper you sign saying your going to be with verizon for 2 more years.. thats the important thing.. only downer is he said i may have trouble putting insurance on the the device on my account vs hers
That wont work in the sotre. The reps will activate it on the account buying it. Order online and it will work just fine
thanks for the replies, yea i'd rather not drag my 83 year old grandmother to wait in line at verizon for a half hour lol. i try not to do business at the actual verizon store, they are all rude and always extremely crowded. not to mention they are not nearly as helpful as a csr you get on the phone, in my experience anyways.
