I called *611 as well and she didn't know about it but she gave me through number 18004851997 for telesales. Talked to a guy named Willis asking if I would have to return my new phone first before pre ordering. I asked about the HDinc and he said oh yea we are actually taking preorders for that phone right this minute and I could get you started right now and you could return your phone afterwards. I told him well I'd like to wait because I don't think we are talking about the same phone. Asked him if he was sure it was the Droid incredible hd and he said well actually its the Droid incredible pro. So I told him ill wait to order lol.

That wont work in the sotre. The reps will activate it on the account buying it. Order online and it will work just fine

my roomate just bought a fascinate and didnt activate it til he got home.. so maybe different for different stores..

do they offer pre-order to pick up in store the day its available? I dont want to wait for the mail man! lol

if you order it online theres a good chance you will get it a day or two early..maybe more. i got my incredible the day before release so i will definitely be ordering online and waiting for fed-ex

I called they said the DInc HD is not in the inventory system and they couldnt confirm it.

so call again lol.. not every vzn rep will be aware of this phone.. i wonder if they gave the info out just today to vzn reps..

Miami, have you actually seen one, or going by other people? I remember a similar event over at Androidforums in regards to VZW Froyo release for the Inc, by a person we fondly called "Burn Notice". The thread went for thousands of posts, even after the confirmed date for Froyo 2.2 failed to happen.

Not suggested you are Burn Notice, but that person also had firm inside info that did not pan out and was against all the apparent logic at the time (it was not ready yet).

11/12 will be a learning experience for this rube, since if it does happen, it will easily be the best kept secret of 2010 and major kudos to VZW for keeping it so

Spoke to a rep that didn't know anything about it. He said they usually give them info by at least 3 weeks before the release. He did seem like he didn't really know anything though.
