Mysterious Device Now With November 23 Launch date

Hello All,

Just wanted to say Hi to a group I've been following for a little over a week.

I'm currently a non-droid owner. My upgrade is due in January and I cannot wait to wrap my hands and mind around the possibilities of a new android handset. I would have become a droid owner much sooner, but an ex-girlfriend entered us into a new two year with a BlackBerry almost two years ago and I feel like I deserve a new every two!

you are the primary line correct? if not you may have an issue if you dont switch the primary number.. no biggy just a side note..

i think by you saying you deserve a new every 2 you already know this but you can upgrade your phone after just 1 year on a 2 year contract.. just no new every 2..

good luck and if your waiting til January make sure you just wait for a dual core phone, mise well after that long of waiting

Thanks. Yes, we've since severed contracts and I've been aware of the upgrade for a few months. After accessing my account online it reads differently, but, after speaking to Verizon, they did inform me that I was currently eligible for an upgrade. That prompted a "Thanks, but, no thanks. I'll wait for an LTE can you tell me about the Droid Incredible HD blah blah blah" conversation

I'm so excited for the holiday season. My girlfriend has never had a smartphone. She fell in love with the Droid Incredible while at a local electronics store and I just purchased one for her for Christmas. She doesn't need that big 4.3" beast. But, I do!

What happens if you go over the 5gb quota?

There is no 5 GB Quota on Verizon.

With that being said, it's not good to create a Red Flag in my opinion and Tether recklessly.

I used netflix for a month like every day(just moved in and no TV) and verizon called me and asked what I was using it for and to warn me that you shouldn't exploit the system and such. More or less it was silly and I didnt change my habits but never heard anything more.

While that's good, if they get a lot of that going on, they may actually crack down and ruin the free tethering bonus that Android users get.

MATTHEW4295!!! How is the connection speed on your Xbox while tethered to your phone??!!?? I've been asking around about this but nobody has any experience even trying to do it. Give me the full details please!

It is ok.... it allows me to connect but it is really really slow. I can't connect to a match unless it is a friends and i have to go through them. But in the game, it is just fine. In the game i never saw a difference. BTW i tried it on Gear of War 2.

Miami1683, I am looking at both the Merge and this nice Dinc HD, is there any word on the Merge date or will that end up being a silent rollout? I hate bing, but I have confidence in the Android community to restore the Merge to its proper Droid Glory.

This device is on traget for late november still....look at the Desire HD .....pretty close to the VZW device...

More to come as he week goes ....

Look for the merge on 11/11...silent roolout is very possible
