Miami sorry if you have answered this, wondering, has this phone impressed you enough that you are going to get it? Did it instantly wow you?
Actaully my first comments were " I should mug the HTC guy and take his" (in a kidding manner of course) it was very nice and yes this will be my next device
Well, I suppose it depends on how you use your phone. I have no interest in most games, or online gaming, or tethering for gaming, or Youtube (which does work perfectly over my 3G phone 99% of the time.
I use my phone more as an information gathering device, life organizer. For my needs, 3G will do. Now don't get me wrong, when my area gets 3G (not for a while I believe), and I am holding a DINC HD and have yet another upgrade, I will look. But I don't view it as a deal breaker. Besides, it is still new, unproven technology, possibly a battery drain, and I believe will be more $$$.
If that's all you use your phone for then why have an android phone at all?? Seriously, you should have a BB on Cricket and really save some $$$.
I'm not trying to be an ass, but you're arguing against yourself somewhat.
Ok, I also use lots of audio streaming (Pandora, Wunderadio, Listen), remote desktop, and lots of other things that are not covered in the Blackberry App Store. Their phones are ugly, their OS is ugly and I like to customize my experience. A Blackberry or any other smartphone OS can not handle my 10 or 12 widgets. It does not offer free turn by turn. Should I go on? Or are you satisfied that I qualify to use Android despite only needing 3G.
I did say I do NOT want LTE, I want to surf the web at a faster pace, etc.... but its not a deal breaker.

shoot that works for me.. i know i might be getting a little ridiculous with this questions but the contact for the original leaked photos said this phone "will make the droid 2 look like a kids toy" how much do you agree with that statement and by what means?
i know you havent got to fully explore this phone so i know its kind of a dumb questions but minor first impressions stacked against a comment like that are ok with me.

I got to explore some..but my first impression was the new sense was beautiful and the screen was solid. The build quality was great (early hardware) and overalll it was a nice device...
Remeber I have all of the Droid line from Droid 1 to the DX...and this device impressed me so much I left there thinking about when I could keep it .

I have a BB Tour. I have Pandora on it right now. I have my phone hooked up to my car stereo system. The phone IMO is very nice looking. You can customize it to a certain extent. If you go to crackberry.com you wil find a tom of skins and customizations. I also have FREE turn by turn navigation on my phone through an app called "Life In Pocket" which is a awesome app! I have google maps too which can give me directions. That being said, I will never use a blackberry again!:icon_evil::icon_evil::icon_evil: I can't wait to get rid of it.

So 10 dollars a month will keep you using a much slower internet connection? Using dial-up at home would save you even more!
If you spend that extra 10 dollars on 4g and then 20 on wifi ap, you ger super fast home internet for cheaper than you pay now, and super fast internet on your phone....
30 bucks extra saves you 50 off of your home service, that ends up saving you money....

Well for one, I believe Android doesn't support Ad-Hoc connections. So things like Xbox 360s and PS3 wouldn't be able to use it, so you probably would still have to have a home service. Another thing is, Verizon will most likely cap it so no unlimited and you're going to be paying extra for 4G even if you don't have it and wont for a while. So yea, it probably is smarter not to waste your money on a LTE phone just yet.
Yes it does support ad-hoc connects. I have connected to my laptop and xbox. And if you go over 5 gbs they will look at you...but they really don't do anything. Now if you go to like 10gbs then youll be really looked at. VZW will be watching you LOL.
MATTHEW4295!!! How is the connection speed on your Xbox while tethered to your phone??!!?? I've been asking around about this but nobody has any experience even trying to do it. Give me the full details please!

Two things at play there. I wouldn't break a friends trust just to be "first"!
Second is i won't burn a contact over it ever. Anyone familiar with VZW inside knows it could cause someone to lose a job. Never happen with me. That's why they talk with me each week
