Mysterious Device Now With November 23 Launch date

Welcome! And this isn't a guys forum...always glad to have some girls on board. All you have to be is passionate about the tech industry and Android phones. I too have a Storm2...a free replacement from Verizon after 5 replacements from my Storm1. I am so looking forward to having a larger screen, better HTC build quality and a faster processor.

I just wanted to introduce myself. I have been watching on this thread for the information on this thread since I heard about the phone in August. I feel kinda weird cause I have the feeling this is a 'guy's' board. haha. I currently have the storm 2 and it is the worst phone I've ever had... My mom made the jump to the incredible and loves the phone. So I think it's time to change to an android. Heck when you have 7 replacements of the same phone and it hasn't even been a year... I think that's an issue or maybe a sign. :S :byestorm: I am able to upgrade on the 6th, but I think I'm going to hold out for a few weeks.

I want to say thank you to Miami, I do appreciate the updates that you are able to give regarding the phone. I understand not wanting to have a friend lose their job over information. Just wanted to say thank you for any and all information you are able to give regarding the phone.

People, I will say this now. If the chat was closed, it was for a reason. Don't push the issue. I believe it is safe to say DF has been privy to very good information over time. Ahead of other outlets. If you don't think this happens without Verizon and other's blessings, you would be wrong. It is best to NOT bite the hand that feeds you. Miami gave the new information tonight that he could regarding release. Leave it at that until more permission is given. Otherwise, we can lose our edge on getting lead information from now on.

Is that worth the risk? I think not.

You're welcome. If that message came out too pointed, I apologize. It wasn't meant that way. Anyone that wants to ask Miami, by all means, that's fine. I just don't want secondhand information passed that is against what he wants. It can not only put him in a bad place, but can cost the board some important information sources and ultimately, can cost some people their jobs.

And yeah, the bold post was a touch annoying.

i like figuring it out by myself then after u had the phone for a couple month u find sumn new about the phone u didnt know before lol

Hey everyone! I just joined the forum and wanted to introduce myself. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one on the edge of their seat for this phone. When I first saw the pics of this phone, it was :heart: at first sight. I have the Droid Eris and I have had it with the phone. I got it March of this year and I just can't deal with it anymore. I have read so much about rooting and custom ROMs and such, but I just don't think it's right for me as of now. I'm sure I'll be comfortable doing it in the near future, but as of now, I'm good with just getting this phone and then using my Eris as a rooting project sort of deal.

Your previous message was not pointed at all. I didn't even realize that Miami had edited Matt before I posted my offer. It was my bad. I jumped the gun a little.

Trying out Sprint for a month. Sent from my Evo using Tapatalk. 4G is pointless when you don't live in one of the few available network areas.

Really the main detail I am concerned with is the release date.

I have all the other details I want:
VZW - Yes
HTC - Yes
4" + screen - Yes
Release date - ?

I was actually pulling the trigger on the Droid X last week until I saw an update on one of the Droid sites about this phone and decided to hold off. I am hoping the late Nov release date sticks, as I am sick of my old WinMo phone, lol.

I hope the design is close to the pictures that were originally released...I am not a huge fan of protruding camera lens'. I also like the idea of a camera on the fromt but no means is it a deal breaker if it does not have one.

I agree. The one thing I don't like about the EVO and the HTC Desire HD is the prodtruding Camera. But I can deal with that.

I'm not surprised at all. They have been sworn to secrecy by VZW so as not to hurt sales of exixting devices. If I were in the same position I would do the same thing. No surprises here...
