Mysterious Device Now With November 23 Launch date

picked up a Dx ...

I'm switching gigs and the new one uses Verizon ... so I've been following this phone. I had to pull the trigger on the Dx since I needed a phone by Monday. I had an Evo for my old gig and I loved it ... I really like Sense. So far the Dx is fine, but I do miss Sense.

I told the Verizon rep I was planning on returning the Dx if the Dinc HD is indeed released in the next 30 days. He didn't have anything to say. I also asked him if I should expect paying full retail for an LTE phone when they ship. He said it was in Verizon's best interest to offer an upgrade program rather than expect consumers to pay full retail. I took that as Verizon 'will be' offering upgrade vs full retail pricing when the LTE phones hit the market. If they don't, they'll be missing out on a lot of extra LTE data plan income. We shall see ...

Miami, It was said that you were in some type of meeting for the dinc hd yesterday. Is it still looking like a nov. 23rd release? i think that is the most important question since lots of us are still hoping it is. thanks.

still waiting on Miami to comment on this news but that was brought up yesterday..

All I know is, is that sounds beleivable. That makes me most happy if true. I just can't see an LTE device released 11/23.

Although several months back, wasn't it reported origianlly that there would be LTE phones by Black Friday??? Or was that LTE "devices"?

I don't need LTE, cuz I won't have it for quite some time... but the option would be nice if I travel. I often am in Seattle or LA. I just hope the plan is fair on pricing.

Lol, everyone complained about LTE and its tiered pricing, well looks like your beloved phone will be falling right into that category. With that said, i'll wait for the more established LTE devices while you all have fun with this.

i could care a less if its LTE and almost prefer it not be LTE incase of a price hike.. what im worried about is this guy said there was revisions and expect to see it march of 2011.. thats what bugs me..

if this phone releases this month it wont be LTE so i am not sure what you are talking about.

The guy that tweeted all that said it was releasing in March of next year which means its likely its 2 different phones all together.

Viper1549 I told you guys that what the guy in my vanpool told me and it looks like he was right. That if it was not in hand by now that it will not be out this month and may be the whole 4thQ.. Now it the rumors are true about the LTE. Then I will not expect it until February or March of 2011 That is if Verizon corporate people get it by December or January.. I am going to get this phone with my wife's upgrade then when the T2 comes out I will sell my DX and get the T2.

I've been following this phone for awhile now, just read through all these pages and I have to say I went from excited, to excitedx3, to bummed. I keep hearing how it's not coming out this month, then it is, then it's 3g, no it's 4g. Blah.

My New every 2 for the family plan is at the end of this month, I really really hope this phone will be out, 3g wise as it'll be forever before we get 4g. But if it doesn't then I'm not sure whether to wait for March or not, as my actual contract will end by then if I don't upgrade. I kind of like the X, but knowing this is on the horizon I really want to wait.

Wow, so this is almost a confirmation that it will be LTE if a VZW engineer is leaking. I don't know how credible this guy is though. Hope we can get some pics soon. Its looking more and more like this phone is not coming out anytime soon. I'm guessing that the 23rd will just be some sort of announcement with nothing being released. Can anybody name a device that came this close to a supposed release date without pic/spec leaks??? We know next to nothing about this phone besides rumors. That being said they are from Miami, who is a very reliable source. That is what everybody here is hanging onto.

ya but the fact of the matter is i mentioned a while back that not all regular testers would see this device if it was supposed to be kept a secret and Miami isnt saying there are delays that he has heard of, that means his source has the phone scoop and yours doesnt.. just waiting for him to simply confirm so there is no question.. but only time will tell at this point..
