NES/SNES/N64 Emulators

Look, it's not a matter of software at all. The USB port on Droid is not a "host" port and there's nothing anyone can do about it. The only feasible option is Bluetooth.

I have the nes and snes lite emulators, I don't think i'll be purchasing b/c the controls just don't feel comfortable at all. meaning the dpad and the keypad buttons. I've tried the virtual dpad, it just doesn't do it for me. Nice idea though.

Same

This brings up another idea. For gaming purposes, wouldn't the DPAD been better placed on the left side? :)

Not really. I have no doubt I'll be able to use the DPAD on the right just as well as on the left.

So I got the emulator for SNES and got the roms on root/ROMS/SNES. The emulator seems to pull them, but doesnt seem to load. I get a weird looking Orange Box that covers most of the screen. I tried three different ROMS. Any suggestions?
For some reason on my SNESoid there were two copies of every rom. One with an underscore before the name "_____SMW.smc" and one without. Make sure you're using the one without. :icon_ banana:I was getting the orange boxes, too, until I figured it out... :motdroidhoriz:

This was my problem too.. Scrolling all the way to the bottom of my files fixed it

I dont know what Im doing wrong, for some reason when I put a rom in the sd card, and load it ti eithers is just a black screen or is a bunch of flashing brown lines, please help ><

so i have the nesoid lite and i played a game on it and then i quit and when i went back to playing it and it says i have no roms. can so one help me?

Is there any more news on a N64 Emulator yet?

And I was thinking, someone mentioned that the Droid isn't powerful enough to run a n64 emulator at all. So does that mean that the PSP is more powerful? Because when I last checked, ~600mHz is way greater than 333mHz.

droid would be powerful enaugh in theory. n64 has 66mhz. emulation costs much much speed. if you wanna have 100% framerates it should be a 10x higher processing speed. so 660 mhz are recommend. droid has 550 mhz. so it could run in 80% speed or so, if the emu is coded VERY VERY good. but we should first try out psx emu. it has less powered hardware. zodttd has told he wanna do that. sadly he disappear a month ago. but i still hope that he gives us a sign in terms of psx emu development.

Snesoid zelda

Hey guys I wanted to know if anyone who has A Link to the Past on their snesoid is having any problems with it not rendering the landscape its just black when I play. I see Link and all the enemies just no land.
