New ATT commercial mocks the MOTO DROID

There's no possible way if you aren't on wifi, literally its not possible... try going to a site you haven't been to before maybe?

Keep in mind that while you can talk and surf at the same time on AT&T's GSM network, that will only work on 3g. If you are on Edge, you can't talk and surf. So that bring up the 3g network map issue for AT&T again. I wouldn't be surprised if Verizon does a an ad where they say with AT&T, you can't really surf and talk outside the limited 3g coverage area.

Then you are on Wifi. It's been discussed to death. Please believe me. There's an element of truth to the AT&T commercials.

Ok please listen.. Im not on wifi.. i put the call on speaker and i talk while i surf.. can someone please try this.. im not insane.
Not insane but you are incorrect, CDMA cant do it

And you gentlmen are correct..my bad.. my wifi was activating.. i feel like a dumb ass.

How hard is it to say "Yeah, I'll do that right after we hang up" or "sure, let me do it, i'll call you right back" lol

LOL, it is pretty ridiculous of how personal people feel over their choice of a damn phone . . . If people get that offended about their own cell phones, I would hate to think of how to a personal, character insult.

Who really cares? The Droid is a good phone and the Iphone was the pioneer. I'm sure the next model of the iphone that comes out in 3-6 months will be superior to the current model of the droid. Its the way things usually work.

In another couple years the playing field will be completely flattened anyway. So unless you all are massive stockholders in Motorola, Google, or Verizon and are actually reaping direct monetary benefits from sales/profit figures who gives a rats ass and just enjoy your new device.

Also, take the time to use the Search Function. :)

The commercial you reference is actually one that has been aired for several weeks since the release of the Droid to counter the Droid/Verizon commercials. :)

Fact is at&t is grasping at anything they have over Verizon. I went to the gun range (indoor) yesterday and while I was firing with a friend, I set my phone down on the bench. Needless to say there was a guy talking to his friend about 5 feet away from me on his iPhone. His phone kept ringing and ringing and every time he would go to answer the call all you would hear him say is that the reception sucked, his call would drop and then he would get a signal, 3 seconds later and then signal lost, etc. He asked if I had the Droid and then asked if he could check it out. I have never seen someone smile so big when playing with a phone.

2 hours later, my friend and I went to grab something to eat from Islands, the host and hostess that were helping us out both had iPhone 3GS's and both asked to see my Droid and play with it. Once again, big smile on their faces. They asked how much it was, benefits, features, etc. Then I heard the host say he was within his 30 days and was going to return his phone and go to Verizon. He also mentioned how dumb at&t's commercials were.

Funny, even their own customers hate them.

i have to agree, i have seen a lot of this, the iphone is dull, its been BASICALLY the same phone from day 1, i mean i know there has been upgrades to the os and app store but it still looks and operates the same, its been out for so long that everyone has seen one and played with one, the droid on the other hand is new and exciting, android 2.0 is worlds different from 1.0, and from what i have seen a lot of people are excited to see a droid, its got a lot of hype, more hype than the iphone right now and frankly verizon hit a home run with the map for that ads and now att just looks like they are just being a-holes trying to dig up whatever they can to fight back against legitimate ads by verizon

and just so people dont whine about how much the iphone os has changed and how much better it is, here are the pics

Well, on the FLIP side... Why mess with something that isn't broken? But then again, Apple is about Simplicity, and there isn't a real need to make it look 'better' than what it looks like now and easier to diagnose issues if you don't go overly complicated in how things look.

But to be fair, when you look at the 'looks' of the Droid's home screen, it hasn't really changed that much either in design and presentation per say either. From what I saw on the 1.5 and 1.6 on the HTC based phones, even with HTC's Sense UI, the notification bar icons are about the same as well as most of the presentation.

there is a much bigger difference between android 1.0 and android 2.0 than there is between iphone os 1.0 and iphone os 3.0

all im tryin to say is i think the iphone could use some sprucing up, its not quite as catchy as it used to be, especially after looking at it for the last few years

edit: and i understand the whole dont fix something that isnt broken notion but eventually its gonna get stale, they need to throw in some visual changes to the hardware and to the software, they cant just keep repackaging the same phone and changing the name, it will eventually catch up with them

Why don't you say the iPhone is about simplicity..not Apple.

There is a difference between an Apple computer and an iPhone. You tend to continuously group them together as the same product. I own a Macbook and last time I checked I am not being spoon-fed what to download and what is available to me (app/program wise.)

One is a computer, one is a child's toy. If Apple ever decides to come to Verizon, I will no doubt consider their product because I trust their reliability. But if they release a product that makes me feel like I am in a jail cell, then I will refuse again.
