I used voodoo to protect the root. However I did not UN root before the install. Just reinstalled voodoo and clicked restore root.

200 mhz when you're already at 1 Ghz is not huge.....I would probably underclock to 1 Ghz if i had the 1200....still like to have the choice though. I was at 1.266 on GB/905

Ah man. That sucks. Honestly though, i have run my phone both overclocked and not. And, It may be a little faster at processing overclocked, but, my phone gets up to 115 degrees all the time now. That's hot! I am assuming its because of overclock. Im going to tune it back to 1000 and see if that helps at all with the heat.

I'm having the same issue with mine really a hing 115-120 degrees. I used to play with the over clocking and under clocking on my OG Droid, but that was rooted. To under clock the Bionic back to 1000 MHz, do I need to be rooted?

Yeah, but come on, you knew that Robinson's first rule of phone tweaking: if you have to ask, it requires root.

Yeah... Guess it's time to root then. Have to do it when I get home from work at 1130 tonight then. Thanks to both for replies.

Noticed that the built in task manager that I had before I updated to ICS is now gone?! Or is it renamed on ICS.....

Have not found one yet myself. You can go into developer options under settings and check 'don't keep activities' under apps.

If thats they're new version of it, it's fine with me.....kinda liked the Task Manager with the auto kill list though.
does the "don't keep activities" give you the option to select apps you want to select and not just all of them....some I keep running all the time.

This is my first post, but I've been visiting since rooting my D1 and trying multiple ROMs.

I read, then read some more, got enough courage and then read some more. I was rooted on 905. Went back to 902, lost root, OTA to 905 and flashed ICS. Awesome. Running at 1200 Mhz, loaded Apex Launcher and posting from my lapdock. It was well worth staying up until 2:00am. I have ICS before my buddy got it on his RAZ...lol

Thanks to everyone here. This forum rocks!

Yea buddy!! Welcome and glad everything went well! Alot of helpful people in here, enjoy ICS! dancedroid

ICS really manages caching well. Under manage apps you can see whats running and whats cached. Under all apps you can disable some bloatware like city id social location etc.
