Yessss. I knew this was gonna be "easier" then it seemed once I knew wtf I was doing here. I've already changed the dock icons, even set up my rows and columns to add more on the screens. I went into the preferences and messed with all that stuff. I wanted to get the foundation set before I started doin the fun stuff. I'm just having a problem finding icons I like. I looked thru so many. I like the text icons and the little robot holding the icons and I can't find either of them (suggestions?). Also, I want to change the clock and date widget that shows when my phone's locked...?

The plain text icons that use words instead of pics? I have those so I'll post up the file and the link to the different colors.

And which date and time widget?

Usually when the phone is locked the screen is blank lol. Or its on the lockscreen

When my screens lock, when I press the button the the top to lock it, the big clock that shows, with the date under, and then under that is my alarm. I want to change all that too but how do I access that when the screen's locked, I can't long hold it.

As for the lock screen, you would use an app like widgetlocker to achieve that, because you cant do it on the stock one.
I use widget locker, and you can change the lock slider to whatever, and add any widgets you want to the lock screen. Its not free, but i think its well worth the price for the customization options

How do I take those screen shots (they look like print screen) I see people doing, so I can show off what I did eventually?

for the the icons, just download them but you Need to unzip though, then just stick them on your sd card.

Yeah I have winrar for all my music files I dl, unzipping is my life seems like.

The easiest way to do that is to root.
And the easiest way to root is to use the app z4root
I would probably read up on rooting before you do it but just incase you need the app, you can find it on xda-developers

Better believe the FIRST thing I learned was gettin my music on here, I asked before I bought the phone. I love when stuff just attaches as an external. Makes life easier. My Blackberry needed the media program and all that extra stuff.

Ok, this widgetlocker has me CONFUSED. I feel like I'm running 2 dif programs against each other. When I lock screen the widgetlocker doesn't even have my wallpaper picture centered. And I can't change the sliders, it adds a 2nd set of sliders but the original stays lock on left, ring/vibrate on right. I need to dl a clock app do have a selection (duh), didn't do that before. But am I doing something wrong w the screen not being centered and the sliders not changing to what I want?

Oh and a little envelope stays at the top of my screen for the widgetlocker program.

As of right now I don't believe you can change the original sliders unless you change the slider type all together (e.g. Iphone slider)
For the wallpaper, i would crop it until it fits maybe?
Crop it to 480x854.
As for the envelope, its just there for easy editing your lock screen in tool mode. But if you want it gone, go to tool mode, settings, advanced, and check hide notification icon

I think I'm gonna wait to mess with that program. It just annoyed me which means my concentration and tolerance have lowered. I don't wanna throw the phone across the room. I'm gonna change the icons though. Switch to easy fun stuff. lol.
