New OTA Update Downloading......

I just got my OTA, but I gotta say...I was hoping it was ICS I do like the graphics though, and I hope to God that they fixed the 3g/4g thing cuz its driving me crazy.

Seriously, use RSD Lite to flash the fastboot file. From 744 you can OTA to 748 then to 173. It's really simple, you can get all of the components online. A few days ago a guy who was new to rooting got it done after getting help from us. The whole process will take about an hour (including downloading the ADB drivers and RSD Lite if you don't have those already) and you won't lose any of your apps or data.

2.3.6 ver 174 rooted with NO problems

Don't have a computer to do any of this. No internet access ,everything I've done is via phone. So that is not an option, it is a no go.

The ICS is still a ways off for us yet. Look toward Spring.

I haven't lost 4G at all today. My battery is doing great too. I've been on Bluetooth, 4G all day, used some GPS w/4G etc..

Lol, yep I am. Its OK ill figure it out no worrys was just wondering why I had issues this time around cuz the last update went fine and I was rooted at that time, but but now I'm having issues with this?! Wtf!?

Finally got the update downloaded. It took a really long time, but I noticed the 3G kept going up and down. Once I got to my home wifi, it finished quickly. Took about 10 minutes to install. Haven't had a chance to see what all is included in this update. Can't wait to get in there and play a little bit.

So what kind of if any differences should I look for with this newest update.. So far only noticed new colorful icons in the settings menu.. Also think there has been a few new apps added but im not 100% sure of that.. Perhaps I never noticed them before

Maybe it's me but I am 95% sure it's not. The camera has gotten so much better. The first ota made it faster by adding constant focus, this ota addresses quality. Particularly low light with flash. So good I got rid of Camera ZOOM. It also has a high pitched beep signaling ready now. It's so much better that I am ashamed for Motorola. How could the camera have been this capable and not ready at original release? Either way I'm happier.

There were quite a few upgrades to radios, recovery, web top, etc. Some ui changes like color added in settings, mmHg icon for text. Motocast was updated so that now you can have your pictures automatically saved to your computer as soon as you take it so if it gets deleted from the camera, it will always be in your computer. She with videos although videos needs to be on Wi-Fi I believe.

You are not seeing things. There are two new bloat ware, sling box and mog music are new.

I will say this, now that I'm home and have had a chance to use the hotspot man what a difference. I don't have Internet acces at home I use the phone and the biggest complaint I had was the you could not access all websites because of a software problem but no more so far every site I have been to no problem, also I streamed a movie from Netflix onto my iPad and it all worked great. My 4G signal has been pretty constant with just a couple of drops to 3G. I haven't really noticed anything yet with smart actions as in being new but I'm still playing with the phone after a day at work. I wish I had the battery of the Maxx but other than that I am on good terms with the Razr again.

Curious if anyones tethering has changed since the update. I have the rooted wireless tether app and have done the sqlight editor change. Just looking to see whos done what so i can compare with mine.
