H3dude: it is not a rumor though. Verizon put out an official notice of the update. An update is coming, most likely the soak test update. Should be out in a week or 2 unless soak test is a complete failure.

I'm not a tester and downloaded the OTA update. Now I have 6.12.173. Android ver 2.3.6
Not sure what this solved yet since I just downloaded 30minutes ago.
So far, I've heard it resolved the 4G connectivity issue but didn't notice any differences yet.
The settings menu also have colored icons now...

Well I got my hopes up for nodda. Checked for the otas and it said unavailable at this time.... isn't that usually a sure sign of an ota on your phone??? Now.. nothing.

Even if it is for everybody, Idk how they do it, but they roll it out in groups or something. I've had to wait as long as a week after gb was pushed out on the DX2.

Anybody have any info on how they do the push?

Its got new smart actions, looks like new music program as well, plus other media programs like slingbox and mog; it also added emergency alerts. Keep you posted.

Also, my phone connected to 4g instantly upon boot and hasn't changed since.

New settings menu.
