anyone else having problems with the volume rocker? turned it all the way down and someone texted me before i fell asleep last night and it was still all the way up. it happened the other night too. i woke up from a text because the volume rocker said it was all the way down but it wasnt.

Yeah, annoying isn't it? Try toggling silent mode using the notification toggle button, that will affect both ringtone and notification volumes.

well for me, I use my cell as my main house phone as well...so at night I dont want to get woken up by email or SMS notifications. Since its my main line, I also dont want to silence my ringer either for incoming calls, incase of an emergency and I have to be reached.

Thats one of my biggest issue with MIUI is my inability to set notifcation sound to silent, but leave ringer on with a profile app like toggle settings.

I'm usually a UD user and decided to try this. I have to say that I'm impressed...phone is running pretty damn good. Got a question reference to sounds:

With UD, when I turned down the ringer, it also turned down the notification sound. I noticed that when I turn down the ringer that I have to turn down the notification sounds manually. Is there any way around this?

That option used to be there, not sure why they removed it. I've been looking for a free app to do this w/o luck. 15 min policy have me scared to try anything paid:icon_evil:

Okay so I installed Chevy's 1.1ghz lv kernel from here and goggles, wireless tether all work great!

I did have one restart as soon as I opened goggles for the first time, but after that it was all gravy.

I turned off high-res graphics and I got much improved scrolling and performance overall in what seems to be no difference in graphics.

I am getting decent quadrant scores 1350+/- average highest of 1394

Still the best Rom I have used, the home screen transitions, falldown is my fav, set it apart from anything I have seen.

Yeah I gotta agree, unlinking the notifications and ringer makes no sense at all. At least give an option to connect them. Other then that once again, great build!!

I just discovered the falldown transition yesterday and I love it as well. As for the high res option in the launcher settings, it is probably similar to the LauncherPro setting that keeps the icons and widgets at their native resolutions while the screen is transitioning. It is not noticeable to me at all and the speed is much better with it off.

I'd also like to say that I've never used a rom that has been this fast. Everything from switching apps to the menu screens to the browser, it all feels extremely fast and streamlined. And on top of that the UI is fresh and fun to use. I'm very happy with this rom, excellent work!

Ringer and notifications are not linked in this build.

I use Quick Settings from the market. Very customizable. It also has a built in flashlight.
