Droid4 official soak test 217 kernel and baseband versions - xda-developers

Filename, baseband, and kernel are the same as 217. If different the OTA would have different specs. I remember they reverted to an older radio (pre 215 version) when they created 217.

Things I don't like about ICS are:

No toggle between 3G and 4G
Dismiss button on alarm is way too close to the snooze
My facebook contacts photos don't sinc to handcent
My linkedin contacts don't appear in people
Ability to charge only when connected to PC is gone. Doesn't allow access to SD card when connected to PC.

I don't toggle 4g/3g and with wifi off get 14-16 hours per charge, with good wifi have gotten over 30 hours on one.

For the sdcard issue switch to mtp mode. PC and phone will have access at the same time.

To toggle between 4g to 3g, install LTE on/off.

To show your LinkedIn contacts, in people, go to menu ---> contacts to display --->customize, then check off which contacts you want to show.

6.16.217 is the ota, every OS has some bugs, nothing is perfect.

For the facebook contacts photos don't sync to handcent is because either google android 4.0 and up or facebook blocks 3rd party app for contact sync. There was the issue with privacy. The fix for that is to use 3rd party app to sync contacts.

Here are the steps:
1. Don't allow stock facebook app to do contacts sync.
2. Use this app to do the contacts sync.
3. Now the 3rd party text messaging apps shows the contacts pictures
