New X orders now will not ship until the 18th.. Yeah right

I ordered mine on Wednesday of last week and it shipped out today.

Like I have already said, ordered the 9th and I have had the phone since Tues. I'll take a screen shot and upload it.... give me a sec. I never take screen shots, that kid may be flaming but still

twb136 - Thanks for the screenshots. I'd really like to see a screenshot from the guy I actually quoted earlier though, njskatchmo.

I ordered nearly 5 days before he/she did and they already got a shipping notice? If that's true, then it should be pretty easy to post a screenshot. I'm calling shenanigans though. :)

Ships in 1 - 2 Weeks
Due to a nationwide shortage of the DROID X by Motorola there is currently a 1 - 2 week shipping delay for this smartphone.
As devices become available for activation and shipping, orders will be fulfilled on a first-come first-served basis, based on the date and time of the order. Your order will not be processed until it reaches the top of the waiting list, and you will receive email updates as the shipping date approaches.

The last time I called CS the guy was kind of snarky and implied I would be lucky if my phones shipped out on the promised 8/25 date. He used a lot of If's. blarg. I think they're getting tired of us bugging them.

So my replacement phone is supposed to get here tomorrow, which makes me think it will be refurbished instead of new. Anyone here have any experience with getting a replacement phone?


When I got my replacement yesterday for the buzzing/static in the earpiece, it was a brand new phone, not a refurb or a brown-box phone...

Well, mine is in fact a refurbished phone. I called customer support and they told me to return the refurbished phone and contact sales and they will send me a new phone. Couldn't they have just sent a new phone to begin with instead of making me go through all this hassle? Unbelievable.

BAHAHA that is a great idea!!! But chances are theyd call out 756,012 before you, and then call out 234,566, skip ahead another 5, and again have no order to it hahah. What I want to know is..how can I get a job answering for verizon?? I want a job repeating the same stupid line over and over and to get paid more than i probably should for it!

Well that sucks. How do you know its refurbished? Was it in a brown box? I thought brown box phones could be just new handsets w/o all the other stuff...
 
I called yesterday afternoon and told them a bs story that me and my friend order droid xs at the same time and he already got his etc, the rep was like well let's see what ahppen to your shipment, well in the end she said that my phone would be delivered by thursday and the latest friday... let's see what happens lol
 
Called again the morning... ordered a REPLACEMENT on the 7th... still nothing. Got the same "by the 25th" crap. I am soo pissed. I am in Florida.

I'm in FL too and ordered my replacement late the night of the 3rd and got it delivered this past Tuesday. I would expect yours beginning of next week...
 
Got off the phone with CS a few minutes ago. I ordered mine on 8/9 and gave them the order number of the guy on here who ordered his on 8/9 as well and received it two days ago. They wouldn't explain why he got his and I still haven't received shipping info or why their ass backwards style of shipping was in place. Sadly, CS is more in the dark than we are. I hope VZW creates a standardized shipping method in the future. This is extremely frustrating. I give up...
 
I have also come to the conclusion that CS is completely in the dark. I talked with one woman last week who was extremely nice and even checked with her manager to make sure she was relaying accurate info. As far as she was concerned, it was accurate. The problem lies somewhere else. Verizon is simply not giving their CS reps any real information.
