New X orders now will not ship until the 18th.. Yeah right

I have also come to the conclusion that CS is completely in the dark. I talked with one woman last week who was extremely nice and even checked with her manager to make sure she was relaying accurate info. As far as she was concerned, it was accurate. The problem lies somewhere else. Verizon is simply not giving their CS reps any real information.


they are just peeons really to be honest... all they do is read scripts and listen to management. No offense to anyone they are doing their best I am sure but us calling over and over is going to do nothing for this. Bottom line Verizon really screwed this up.. bad. But what are we going to do about it?

Nothing... because we know that we like the network, and the phones (obviously) so all we can do is sit back and make empty threats. I am just as pissed as the next guy ordered on the 5th and seeing all these people who ordered long after me getting their phones, but Verizon knows that we are all just cattle and they are just herding us in.

Sorry I am pissy but someone needs to really say how it is.
 
Finally got my phone yesterday

ORDERED: 08/10/10
NOTIFICATION: Ordered in store so did not get any e-mail notifications. Was told it would officially ship by 8/25
RECEIVED: 08/18/10
LOCATION: Cherry Hill, NJ
STATUS: New Verizon customer with a 2 yr contract, paid $150 for the phone after a mail-in rebate
 
From all that I've read on here people who are on the east coast are getting their phones way sooner than everyone else.

Philly, South Carolina, New Jersey people all are stating they got their phones.

People elsewhere are not even getting SHIPPING notices!

In Store seems to be a recurring element to getting a phone quicker.
 
It's really looking regional to me at this point. I ordered in store on the 7th and haven't heard anything, but I'm on the west coast.
 
I just placed my order this morning.

The lady on the phone told me that the "sheet she had" said that orders placed today should ship on Sept. 6th. I told her that Sept. 6th was Labor Day, so I bet no shipping occurs that day, and she said, "Well, that's what it says..."

Nice lady, but I think she was given bad info.

I figure it will arrive sometime between now and the middle of September...hopefully. :)

I ordered mine in store 8/14 and was told it would ship on 8/30. I'm in the Midwest though. It will probably take them a while to ship it through all the cornfields...

I last called 2 days ago and they told me the 25th
My online status has not changed, so I hope the e-mail wasn't a mistake

Ordered 8/7/10 in store in San Diego, Ca.

So far absolutely nothing, being patient is hard. In Verizon's defense they did tell me he 25th.

I will say this forum is a type of therapy.
